Django just repeating everything that the rank and file of the PNC are being told.  This is his way of defending the PNC... It's certainly not sophisticated a bit when you come to think about it.  He fights for the PNC but his punches have no effect.

PPP's lead ------13,069.

There are 14 boxes still left to be counted.

Thanks to Afro Guyanese who voted in large numbers to support the PPP. Afros have to be equal partners in a new PPP administration. Oil money is for ALL Guyanese.

The final verdict will be the PPP/C has won the 2020 March 02 General Elections.  They have 34 seats and the Coalition 30 seats with one seat being awarded to a smaller party.

A recount has verified a PPP Victory !!!!

Let's celebrate first. Naga and Rum bai will have to face the people. Democracy has prevailed. The PPP humbly vacated office in 2015. That's class.

GECOM to tabulate ballot boxes with missing statutory documents

The Guyana Elections Commission (GECOM) took a decision to tabulate the 29 ballot boxes from East Coast of Demerara Polling Stations with missing statutory documents.

“It was noted that the Commission does not intend to disenfranchise any elector. However, the Commission will continue to investigate the matter,” GECOM’s Public Relations Officer, Yolanda Ward relayed to the media earlier today.

The issue came to the fore on Friday after it was reported that 29 ballot boxes from the lower East Coast area would not be tabulated because key statutory documents were missing. The Coalition counting agents suggested “recount of votes not validated due to absence of statutory documents” be placed on the observation reports.

Of those 29 boxes, 28 were counted and tabulated but the tabulation supervisor was told to highlight the figures during the livestream of the tabulation exercise, pending the Commission’s decision on the way forward.

That wasn't so difficult to make.   I wonder what took them so long.  Do they think that 29 boxes can put the PNC on top? I don't think so.

It was a show of unity and a cause for celebration as party agents of the 11 political parties that contested the March 2 General and Regional elections removed the last of 2,339 ballot boxes for recount on Sunday.

The party agents applauded and took photos as they removed the last box from the container at the Arthur Chung Conference Center where the recount is ongoing.

Most of the party agents have been at the recount site since the recount began on May 6 – a total of 33 days.

Most have been working a rotation system as Guyana battle the spread of COVID-19.
