Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram Leela – The film was initially named Ram Leela and it was alleged that the film is a twisted interpretation of the Ramayana and hurt the sentiments of the Hindu community. With cases being filed Sanjay Leela Bhansli a few days before release, the title was changed to Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram Leela.

Madras Café – The film was initially titled Jaffna and an uproar happened saying that the Nargis Fakhri and John Abraham starrer film showed the Sri Lankan place Jaffna in a bad light. The title was then changed to Madras Café.

R… Rajkumar – This Prabhu Deva flick starring Shahid Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha was initially named Rambo Rajkumar. The title ran into copyright issues with the makers of the Hollywood Rambo series claiming that the title could not be used by any other film. The title was changed to R… Rajkumar.

My Name is Khan – Amongst a heap of other issues that the film faced due to its sensitive subject the title was a minor problem. The movie was set in the post 9/11 U.S. and while tackling many other issues Karan Johar refused to let go of the title.

Total Siyappa – The Ali Zafar and Yami Gautam starrer was titled Aman Ki Asha which was also the title of a popular media campaign and the title ran into the copy right issues. It was then named Total Siyappa.

Youngistan – The title was taken from a popular campaign of Pepsi Co. and the makers immediately received a copyright infringement notice. But after settlement of claims the film released with the same title.

Billu – The film from produced by Shah Rukh Khan ws named Billu Barber but then there was a lot of huff around it being insensitive a caste and section of the Indian community. Barber was then clipped off from the title.

Udta Punjab – Based on drug scandals in the state of Punjab the film was glared upon by a lot of people including the censor board that suggested 89 cuts to the film and asked the makers to drop Punjab from the title. The film however resolved the issues and released with the same name.
