Wifey and I can safely say we were part of history to witness his final  home run at Yankee Stadium last Thursday night.

* That should be "to witness his final home game" at Yankee stadium.

* He didn't hit a HOME RUN but he did deliver the game winning hit in the Yankee 6-5 win.

* You're 1000% right! Derek Jeter is a class act. He reminds me of 40 year old West Indies batsman Shiv Chanderpaul---another class act.

* To date Shiv has played in 158 test matches---he has scored 11,684 runs at an average of 53.10 with 30 hundreds and 65 fifties. Shiv needs 229 runs to surpass the great Brian Lara and become the highest West Indies runs scorer in test matches.

Rev,

You know your baseball. I watch baseball all season and do miss it when the season ends. Derek Jeter is class act and hope he will always remain a class act. He will make it to the baseball hall of fame on the first ballot when he is eligible. I, like most non Yankees fan, hate the Yankees.

No Rev I was at Yankee Stadium two Thursdays ago when he hit his final home run.

I was not there last Thursday for his final game at home.
