Assalam alaikum,

The death is announced of Azam Mohammed who died in Malaysia last night.

Brother Azam is originally from Georgetown, Guyana.

He was a student in Makkah Al-Mukarrama, Saudi Arabia for over 16 years.

He went back to Guyana and served as Principal of the Guyana Islamic Institute in '2010 and '2011.

He recently returned to Saudi Arabia and then was moving on to Malaysia to study for his Phd.

Allah (Subhan-hu Wa' tala) has decided to take him back while he was in Malaysia.

Brother Azam is survived by his wife, Sister Yasmeen who is making arrangements for his burial in Malaysia.

I just spoke with his wife (Sister Yasmeen) in Malaysia and she is asking for everyone to make lots of du'a for Brother Azam.

Also, please make du'a for Sister Yasmeen that she be able to handle this effectively since she is a strange environment.

We beg Allah (Subhan-hu Wa'taala) to grant our Brother Azam, Jannatul Firdous. Ameen

Janaaza will take place after Fajr in Malaysia which will be about 6pm in the USA.
