De indian Lion dem from Whim Voting AFC+APNU............All dat noise about who deh in de crowd and indian party dis and dat.....all Bullshit...
For My Dearly Beloved Parosin,
Try and follow me here. The average Indian is and feels neglected by the PPP because the PPP deliberately neglects them. This was the core argument of ROAR to Indians.
The average Indian does not feel that the PPP represent him as an individual or as an ethnic group. They even believe that the PPP supports Blacks at the expense of Indian people. You may disagree but vast swathes of the PPP Indian vote believe this to be true.
The PPP is not being punished for corruption or incompetence by Indians. They're being punished for not being sufficiently pro-Indian.
With My Warmest Affections,
I Have the Honour Sir etc. etc. & etc.
Herr Shaitaan
These opinions have been expressed often enough by many Indians. Whether non Indians agree with these opinions or not the fact is that they represent how large numbers of Indians feel.
Folks can ignore ethnic insecurity in Guyana and call those who raise this issue racists, but from the composition of the crowds showing up to events it doesn't appear as if Guyana has transcended this.
Mars can have a heart attack and engage in all the vulgarity that he wishes, but these are the FACTS!
Diversity, Diversity, Unity, One people One Nation, One Destiny.
PPP done......
Mark will not get one seat.
How do you know? You might think he is a loud mouth blow hard but when young black youth have been victimized by the cops, or PPP cronies have tossed them out of their tenement buildings, it was Benschop and not Granger who showed up.
Benschop has the potential of being a spoiler and the coalition just need to stroke the man's ego and give him some attention which he so obviously craves. At least until May 11th.
Mark will not get one seat.

You mean Mark Benschop, the only Black man in Guyana viewed by ordinary disaffected Blacks as the one Blackman who stood up to the Coolie Dictators punishing them and got 5 years jail in solitary for his troubles will not outperform CN Sharma, the man who promised to "electrify all Essequibians"?
You really are out of touch with Guyana.
Can I please say something the blind PPP crabdawgs have been saying all along.

Love it. You have the racists on both sides of the aisle choking on their bile.

Mars, who considers me a racist (because I talk of rampant racism against blacks in Guyana....apparently a taboo subject not only for the PPP but also for some AFC cultists), seriously thinks that I will want a PPP win.
Mars you have serious psychological problems. Mars if I am indeed the black racist which you scream that I am, why will I want a PPP win, which will ensure the Indocracy will remain in power? Think with your head and not with that part of the body which releases your waste.

I call it correctly based on what you write here.
So you're now a mental health professional and just diagnosed my case over the internet.
You're a piece of work.
Mars is not the only person that consider you a racist nuff nuff adda people here consider you a racist. I think you should wear it like a badge of honor or you playing shy now carib?

The definition of the word "racist" is not people who HM_Redux does not like on GNI.
Mars is not the only person that consider you a racist nuff nuff adda people here consider you a racist. I think you should wear it like a badge of honor or you playing shy now carib?
And yet the nuff nuff people when asked why I am a racist cannot answer.
Afro Guyanese face systematic racism in Guyana and PPP exiles like you do not wish any discussion of this, so you call me a racist.
Yes I am a "racist". David Hinds is a "racist:. Eric Phillips is a "racist", and Nigel Hughes has also been called that as well.
In fact some time ago you even implied that Trotman was selfish and a racist too.
I call it correctly based on what you write here.
I see unable to say exactly why I am a racist. Let me make it easy for you. Many in APNU share the same opinions that I have of systematic racial discrimination against Afro Guyanese, and aren't shy of discussing this.
So using your criteria I guess APNU is packed with racists too.
But you will descend into some manic rant rather than engaging in a rational discussion as to why you think that I am a racist.
Granger and Moses having an influence on dese 2 here like de 2 a dem want to hug up and give it a go it seems like......well dat is good dat is a great thing.................Love is in the air.

I assume you mean me and my arch nemesis Caribj.
The fact that Caribj and I find much common ground in our election analysis especially on how hideously incompetent the AFC is should be cause for concern.
That two of the posters on seemingly opposite extremes of the divide seem to be saying the same things pro/con the PPP, Mark Benschop, and the Coalition should be very disconcerting to you.
Then again, ya'll are always winning until the results are announced. This is Election Number 3 so ya'll know the song and dance well
(And so do we)
Oh yea I forgot that the most popular man among the heavily populated Black areas of non-elite Georgetown is Mark Benschop who is actually liked and trusted by ordinary Blacks.
That he turned down a guaranteed seat from the Coalition says that he firmly believes that he can get 1 or more seats on his own. And he shows no sign of succumbing to the pressure to join the Coalition.
Mark is going to poach at least 1 or maybe more PNC seats.
The PPP has to hold its base and convince 10 to 11 percent of others to come over. The APNU-AFC natural base are already numerically superior to the PPP. I do not know what you and caribj are looking at but it certainly is not the numbers.
The APNU-AFC natural base
....and, just what is this natural base you so assertively speaketh of?
I call it correctly based on what you write here.

That's my assessment of you based on what you write here. A large percentage of this board shares the same opinion but I guess we're all wrong and you alone are correct.
Dude, you are the one who launched into a rant first when I asked Shaitaan a simple question as to why his position keeps shifting. Making up shit that I never said when I didn't even ask you in the first place. I'm sure that Shaitaan is capable of answering questions for himself. Maybe you can use your mental health skills and try to assess why you are a compulsive liar and have to make up things that people do not say so that you can promote your straw man arguments.

And yet despite our arguments we are NOT at opposite ends of the ethnic anxiety spectrum.
In fact we listen to each other. Respect each other, and I think even learn from each other.
That is how Guyana will resolve its racial problems. Not squashing any discussion of it, and letting it fester underground.
I wouldn't worry too much about the AFC. Like you said Nagamootoo listens to you, and from what I was told last weekend, and from what I heard in his speeches, he knows that he has to earn his keep. Both in attracting diverse votes to the coalition, and in ensuring that his base feels protected against partisan extremists who lurk in corners of the PNC.
The AFC cultists don't represent its leadership I don't think. I learned that last time when Gerhard began to engage me, and at the end acknowledged that I was right, when the results came in, and the AFC lost 25% of its Region 4 and 10 votes.
That's my assessment of you based on what you write here. A large percentage of this board shares the same opinion but I guess we're all wrong and you alone are correct.
I see that you now agree with people like Nehru, yuji, cobra, and rev who called me a racist because I despise the PPP and openly talk about how blatantly hostile to Afro Guyanese they are. Some like Jalil, who was once an ardent PPPite, have carried their same attitudes into the AFC.
This is the company who you want to keep.
Good going, but you still cannot explain why YOU think that I am a racist. Repeating what Nehru's opinion of me doesn't earn you any points.
Natural base hahahhahahhahahhahahahhha

I've called you out on your racist attitude many times. I don't have the time and energy to go and look for threads now. You're obviously a compulsive liar who needs to lie in order to big up yourself. I have little tolerance for such people.
Have you ever written anything on this board that did not revolve around race?

He means that he believes 60% non-Indian population = 60% non-Indian voters. A quite novel proposition indeed.
If this was the case, the PPP would be begging the AFC and selling out half the Cabinet to the AFC to hold onto office for their full term.
Let's be clear, the PPP is the one gambling on elections here. Not the Opposition. The PPP could have at anytime bartered a piece of Cabinet action to the AFC and I doan think these hungry belly daags would have refused

Is race not the issue that permeates and poisons everything about and in Guyana?
Look jackass, we're in the middle of a parliamentary election in 2015 and we're here attempting to divine the likely behavior of 10k Indian voters. And I don't recall any one of us even paying lip service to any policy issues. There are none. We're trying to divine an election outcome based almost exclusively on the racial turnout and the likelihood that a relatively small number of Indians may NOT vote against the Black guy and their own interests along with the other 90% of their tribe thereby handing the election to the dude not even the Indos who will vote for him like or want.
....and, just what is this natural base you so assertively speaketh of?
And yet the natural base didn't deliver a victory over the PPP last time, and its not guaranteed that it will this time.
Stormborn claims that he is a quantitative person, yet seems unable to interpret election data.
In 1991 12% of the population self identified as mixed. Rumors are that in 2012 20% did. Now one can argue that the Amerindian population is growing because they have higher birth rates, and aren't migrating. That clearly doesn't apply to mixed people whose birthrates are in line with Africans and Indians, and who migrate at similar rates as do Africans.
So it seems to me that if one divided the Guyanese population into the 40% which is under 18 and the 60% which is over, one might see very different ethnic breakdowns.
Stormborn holds on to the fact that the African and mixed population is 50% like a pitbull holds onto a bone.
He doesn't admit much of this mixed population is due to the more significant miscegenation since the 90s, and also that this emerging mixed population might have different identification than did the old "red" population, so aren't as reliably PNC voters as the traditional mixed voters were.
When asked to explain why the PPP wins if the natural base of APNU AFC is 50%, based on the African and mixed population, his response is that there is this huge reserve of non voters within this block. Yes they don't vote because young people vote less, and children aren't allowed to vote and these populations are disproportionately mixed.
So yes since 2001 election there has been a large bloc of young people in Georgetown, Linden and other PNC strongholds who haven't voted. This is a group to which the APNU AFC can appeal, using the GYC, which has devised innovative campaigning strategies, and have being doing so VISIBLY for quite a while now (unlike APNU AFC which only became visible recently). That might add maybe 3% to bring APNU to 43%.
There still remains a gap which can only be filled by Indians and Amerindians. Amerindians are swing voters and Indians alienated from the PPP are often inclined to simply not vote.
So I don't know what majority natural base Stormborn is talking about.

Shaitaan you answer him because I blocked that idiot and a few other PPP and AFC cultists a while back.
The same HM-Redux was calling the black AFC leaders selfish in January and he even went so far as to imply that Nigel Hughes didn't campaign hard for the AFC in 2011.
Have you ever written anything on this board that did not revolve around race?
I see. The AFC and APNU have a campaign based on "Unity". Now what is that UNITY all about. Seems like it is about race, so it also seems to me that talking politics or about Guyanese society without mentioning race is dishonest.
I challenge you to pull ANY description of Guyana where the African vs. Indian frictions aren't very highlighted.
The only reason for the PPP and the PNC surviving so long is about race. Note that those two parties won 90% of the votes in the last election. Both parties are basing their prospects on a high turn out of their race based supporters, hoping to attract a few cross ethnic votes to carry them over the top.
Having a discussion about Guyana without mentioning race is pure fallacy.

yes people in privileged positions (Indian elites), or those who anticipate that they will be (African elites if APNU wins) will try to crush this discussion as the status quo benefits them.
Very different conversation with the grass roots. Some black Caribbean Airlines ground staff gives them a hard time over the 100 lb bag that they are trying to take into the cabin, and they see Burnham trying to oppress them and wonder why this still happens with an Indian party in power. A black person will see PPP oppression if the staff member is Indian.
