Just came off the phone with someone in gt. said that the lines are long in the city and the young ppl are very enthused, especially those voting for the first time.
Can't say about the rural areas. But as one report said, that some ppl going into the polling places and still have not made up their minds.

A massive misinformation campaign is currently being carried out on the Corentyne by the desperate PPP. In the Corentyne, the young people have made up their minds...For years they have not seen any progress to improve their lives under the PPP, resulting in depression, hopelesness and many of their friends taking their own lives.
Many will be voting for a change.
The regional officers theme of ' alyu want de blackman to rule alyu again', has caused many of them to choose the AFC.
If the PPP regional officers had remained quiet, many would be voting PPP today.

Seems so, all my friends and Family in Guyana, have shown some political motivation to get out and vote. I just BBM 1 and he said he went out since 6am to vote.

Caribny the AFC may have only gotten 10% but it was 10% enough to put the PPP down as the first minority government ever.
Rome was not built in a day. The AFC+APNU will much to the chagrin of a lot of people on all sides of the equation end PPP rule in 2015.

You could sense that the mood in 2015 is as it was in 1992. People really want change. The trickle down voodoo economics of the PPP is not getting the poor out of their black hole of misery. Every Race Punishing.
It's the rich parasitic friends of the PPP that are living large and the business community. Domestics and some store workers make $5,000 a week especially in the country areas. Security guards make very little. The masses not feeling the love.

Just curious as to what prevented Jagan from initiating those discussions in 1994? Hoyte, having been humiliated by Hammie when he lost G/town to him, might have entertained those discussions. The PNC was quite weak in that year, and the more radical element had departed with Hammie to form the GGG.
