Wifey and I attended the equivalent of a christening, African /Mali style in Harlem last night.

I t was quite an interesting experience  to see other culture at work. Some aspects are very  similar to Indian customs at a nine day, there were lots of singing and dancing for this happy occasion.

One thing that Carri bean folks  sure  have in common with the Africans is, not being on time. We got to the hall a little after 10 pm, the host, his wife and the babies made their grand appearance at 1.45 am. He apologized however he insisted it is an African thing to start all functions late.

All in all it was interesting and an enjoyable event.

I hope you and Mrs. Chief had a good time while you were waiting

The father is my #1 driver so we had to just wait.

Mir we were admiring the fancy African outfit that the ladies wore. Almost every one of them had on colorful clothing with matching shoes and head pieces.
