* There is no question Chinese investments will conform to the laws of Guyana.

* But what I am saying is that for every foreign investment in every country, not just Guyana, there are monies(gifts, bribes, payola, etc) set aside for the ELITES---the Rev has a name for those monies---MILK & HONEY.

THE PNC/AFC MAY VERY WELL GET LUCKY

* Exxon may find oil in commercial quantities---the Exxon investments and Returns will be huge and very beneficial for Guyana and PNC/AFC politicians.

* THE HYDRO PROJECT may still be developed----the IDB is ready to go---Norway has already deposited $100 million to be used as EQUITY in the project.

* The DEEP WATER PORT may still be a go.

* The road from Linden to Brazil may still be a go.

* Norway is prepared to extend their commitments to Guyana---that's an addition $250 million US.

BOTTOM LINE:

* If the PNC/AFC play their cards right---there will be prosperity in Guyana.

* And don't forget folks---MILK & HONEY will flow in abundance----the PNC/AFC OLIGARCHY will feast.

CHECK THIS:

The new PNC/AFC government has made it very clear that it will be reviewing all contracts previously negotiated under the PPP/C

QUESTION:

* Do you folks know why those contracts are being reviewed by the new government ?

* CORRECT!

* There is bribery and corruption in every single contract that the PPP government was a part of. That is how PPP politicians make out like bandits.

* Now! When the PNC/AFC revisits those contracts----it is their politicians who will now be the recipients of the bribes and pay offs.

* YOU FOLKS UNDERSTAND THAT, RIGHT ?

QUESTION:

* Will the PNC/AFC allow the Chinese to construct more 5 star hotels in Guyana ?

Rev

Do you think that there will be 200 senior Exxon execs in Guyana at any one time.  The ordinary engineer types aren't going to be housed there.  Too many regular homes available for long term lease.

* Look Carib! Now that Cathy Hughes is Minister of Tourism, do you believe she regrets that her country now has a Top notch Internationally recognized hotel ?

* Personally the Rev would not take his family to some rinky dink, 2nd rate hotel in Guyana or anywhere else for that matter. I am pleased that the first rate Marriott was built and will be staying there during my trip to Guyana this summer.

RE: INTERNATIONAL TRAVELLERS TO GUYANA

* Now that the world has found out that Exxon has made oil discoveries in Guyana, you can bet that foreign investors will take a closer look at the country. There will be lots of visitations to Granger's country. Business will be good at the Marriott and other hotels.

Cathy Hughes is more concerned about the GUYANESE who invested in the tourism sector and have encountered huge issues as the PPP was totally incompetent when it came to developing the tourist industry.

The type of tourists to Guyana aren't interested in a hotel like the Marriott.  The appeal is mainly for business people, who will stay where ever they can, as it is business opportunities and not hotels, which motivates their travel.

* The way I see it---the Marriott has been built---and I hope it's a success---I also hope all the other hospitality facilities in Guyana enjoy financial success.

* ELECTIONS ARE OVER---projects or investments in Guyana that are good for the country---I'll be rooting for their success.

* I am patiently waiting for the PNC/AFC to get the HYDRO project going---Nagamootoo said during the campaign that Amaila "run out of water--it dry"---hopefully now the PNC/AFC has won the election---water will return to amaila falls.

Cathy will sell the Marriott ASAP and have the new owners assume the risk of running the hotel. and the obligation to service debt connected to this facility.

If the hotel has such great potential there shouldn't be any problem finding buyers.

* Cathy will soon find out who the real owners of the Guyana Marriott are, then she will zip her lips and get down to running her fledgling Tourism Ministry.

HINT: Members of the PPP OLIGARCHY will not be touched.

* In due course we shall all find out who the members of the PNC OLIGARCHY are.

*By the way carib, I notice President Granger has assumed responsibilities for the Natural Resources Ministry---very wise move by the President.

RE: THE GUYANA SOVEREIGN WEALTH FUND

A sovereign wealth fund (SWF) is a state-owned investment fund investing in real and financial assets such as stocks, bonds, real estate, precious metals, or in alternative investments such as private equity fund or hedge funds. Sovereign wealth funds invest globally. Most SWFs are funded by revenues from commodity exports or from foreign-exchange reserves held by the central bank.

* With Guyana in the coming years to become a major oil producer, President Granger has already hinted at his country establishing a Sovereign Wealth Fund.

* Initially it was indicated that Roopnarine would assume the Ministry of Natural Resources portfolio, but with the HUGE Exxon oil discovery, the President wisely chose to keep that portfolio for himself.

* BOOM TIMES ARE AHEAD IN GRANGER'S GUYANA FOLKS.
