The PPP self destructed because of its greed. Imaging the massive outlay of capital and mobilizing of the state resources to their campaign, not to mention dressing up every Amerind; man, woman and child in PPP monkey suits plus lots of bead trading and they still lost. The nation has too much of a strong whiff of the stench of their corruption. They have a long time ahead to dig themselves out from the pile of manure.
