Just heard from an unofficial source that Caribbean Airlines will start their non-stop service between New York and Guyana starting in December. The flights will be 3 times a week on a newly leased 767 plane.

They had planned to start this non-stop service since early Summer. Hope this plan becomes a reality to give Delta some competition with fares.

I once flew from Vancouver, BC to Toronto at about noon, boarded a 1130PM flight to Guyana via POS and arrived in Berbice just after noon the next day. Three time zones and I slept for two days.

I'm hoping for a direct flight from FL before my next trip to GY.
