Which item you have more, that word is first such rice and peas. As for the curry chicken, is the same as BBQ chicken, Fry chicken ,tanduri chicken, baked chicken and so on, it's all an adjective to describe the Chicken. So the Ja man is correct.

CurrIED Chicken, BBQed, FriED.......come on man. As for Tandoori, that's  the oven the cooking is done in.

Maybe... but Guyanese seek to describe the curry, not the chicken. Hence chicken curry, potato curry, beef curry, mango curry.

Having this "discussion" with a couple of people here at work. The Jamaican says "Curry Chicken" and I am trying in vain to explain the difference between a noun and an adjective.

Funny, I met a Jamaican guy few days ago. When he heard I’m from Guyana, first question to me, do you say curry chicken or chicken curry?  I got confused and had to think.   Chicken curry!

I actually heard this debate on the radio station the other day (can't remember which one) and it's both correct. They are very similar but a bit different in spices used and the order it goes in pot. So no use fighting for titles...it's both right ....sssooo HA!!!

No they are not. It's either Chicken Curry meaning a curry made from chicken or CurrIED Chicken meaning the way the chicken was prepared.
