Ok folks
Love him or hate him, Chief is never afraid to speak his mind.
When Jagdeo joined the campaign, the PPP appeared to be a bit disoriented with a lack of sense of direction. Enter Jagdeo and the PPP was back on track.
Jagdeo is a two term President and like Bill Clinton, he is very popular. Read Chief's honest observations for yourself and trust me, Chief is a strong PNC man since the days of Burnham. I do not envy the man for his loyalty towards the party of his choice.
The AFC/PNC, especially the AFC is still campaigning against Jagdeo and that is a very fatal mistake. Jagdeo is a very intelligent politician and will use every opportunity to chip away at the opposition.
This reminds me of the Republicans who were so obsesses at President Obama that they spent two terms trying to un-elect President Obama. In the case of Jagdeo, he is no longer the President and yet the foolish opposition are trying to "un-elect" Jagdeo.
The PNC is good for 40 Percent and a Moses like cult need to understand that Moses received sympathy votes in 2011. If Moses was confident of a repeat of what the AFC achieved in 2011 then he would have gone solo.
Make no mistakes, the AFC is dead in Berbice and are 'hoping" to do well in other regions. Guess what ? The AFC does not have the resources to tackle the mighty PPP. Hope does not win elections. Photo ops do not win elections.
The AFC consists of a bunch of daydreamers and very lazy politicians. They never capitalized on their success in 2011. They were busy trying to "un-elect" President Ramotar while the PPP created "Boots on the Ground" to counteract a sleeping and lazy AFC in Berbice.
The AFC has a few cult followers of Moses and think that Moses will part the sea and take over the PNC and take it to the mountain top. This is far from reality as the AFC is failing very badly.
It appers that the AFC sinking ship will take down the PNC as they sink further and further into defeat.
If the opposition thinks that Motorcades win election, they better think again. The PPP learnt from that mistake in 2011 in taking around large contingents of supporters which created a false sense of victory among their supporters who assumed that the "other guy" will turn out and vote.
Photos of a few Indos in Brotherly love with Afros at a motorcade will not win elections. This election is about hard work and boots on the ground. The AFC is too lazy and are still daydreaming from 2011 with no real plan for winning over voters.
Moses cannot bring over more Afro PNC voters, he needs to bring over Indos to the PNC. With the PNC submitting a list of 75 Percent Afros while their actual overall percentage of the population is only 30 Percent sends shivers down the spine of Indos.
What was the PNC thinking ?
It is too late for Moses and the AFC to swing over voters to the PNC. Nothing is happening in Berbice for them and while they need to look elsewhere, it is too late.
Will Granger still give the AFC 13 of it's 26 seats ? I think not.
