If it does not show up and you tried everything you have to check cabling and if the cables are fine then you have to pull it, test the cable with another device and if that works you know you need to try another drive. Too much time is wasted trying to fix broken things that should be replaced in the first place. If it does not show up and it used to it is most likely dead.

D2 is correct,check all cables from dvd drive to

motherboard and power supply,usually in the device

menu usually you will see question mark if there is

a problem with device,if drive is kaput change it.
