I don't know who designed the original bridge but there is a similar one in Palmen tuin in Paramaribo, Suriname. When the bridge fell into disrepair, it was restored to its original glory. In Guyana it doesn't seem to matter.

I don't know where you got that pic from. Thats a bridge in the National Park, the wooden (white) building in the background is COSMOS, now GMR&SC. That is not the Botanical Gardens.
