Amazing I never had the chance to see this movie while living in Guyana (I think was too busy chasing the girls) until many years later I bought DVD over here and saw it for the first time.
Incidentally, Dharam was really busy chasing the girl in this one. But nothing can beat his excitement over Hema.
The Sikh became muslim to marry Hema as his 2nd wife. He has 2 daughters from his 1st wife who are rarely mentioned; they were embarrassed over the whole Bollywood lifestyle and moved to California where they are professionals, one is a Doc. Dharam got tired of Hema and moved back to his 1st wife.
Hema was so adored (people treated her as pure) that she did not face the same reaction that Rekha did although there is speculation about Rekha while Hema's case was real given that married Dharmendra and had children with her. Just goes to she that it is not what one does that affects them but how they are liked or not.
I know I am going to get into trouble with Chami for appearing to be cutting Rekha some slack.

Ummmmmmmm...well, Rekha was MARRIED while she was having an affair with MY AmitJI....her husband committed suicide (either because he found out she is having an affair with Amit or he caught her with Farzana...her current partner)
I must say that my information re Rekha was inadequate. I was not aware that she was married and her husband committed suicide. My bad. I stand corrected here.
