Emraan Hashmi Says Muslims Are Treated Very Well In India

Emraan Hashmi is a well-known face of the Hindi film industry. The actor was recently in headlines because of his controversial statements against Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Emraan Hashmi, who hails from a Muslim family, has voiced his opinion regarding the way in which Muslims are treated in India.

The 37-year-old actor saya, “I believe we are doing pretty well. I would say that Muslims are being treated very well in India.” Emraan told IANS, “With people from different castes and religions living in the country, I think we are doing pretty well. No major problems have erupted.”

Emraan was once refused a ‘No Objection Certificate’ by the housing society because of his religion when he wanted to a buy house in the Pali Hill area, but now he feels that India treats Muslims really well. Emraan is the son of Mahira Hashmi and Anwar Hashmi. His father was an actor who acted in ‘Baharon Ki Manzil’ in 1968.Currently, Emraan is busy in promoting his upcoming film ‘Raaz: Reboot’.
