Sunrise Man Arrested and Charged in $20 Million Payroll Tax Fraud Scheme

December 12, 2012

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Wifredo A. Ferrer, United States Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, Michael B. Steinbach, Acting Special Agent in Charge, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Jose A. Gonzalez, Special Agent in Charge, Internal Revenue Service, Criminal Investigation Division (IRS-CID), and Christopher B. Dennis, Special Agent in Charge, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office of Inspector General (HHS-OIG), announce the unsealing of a December 6, 2012 indictment charging Sonny Austin Ramdeo, 35, of Sunrise, with wire fraud in connection with a $20 million federal payroll tax fraud scheme, in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Section 1343 and 2. Ramdeo was arrested today in Brooklyn, and made his initial appearance in federal court in the Eastern District of New York earlier today. He is expected to be removed to the Southern District of Florida on these charges.

According to the indictment, from as early as 2005, defendant Ramdeo was employed as the payroll supervisor at Promise Healthcare, Inc. (Promise Health Care) and Success Healthcare Group (Success Healthcare), both of which owned and operated hospital facilities throughout the United States. As the payroll supervisor for these two companies (the companies), Ramdeo was responsible for overseeing the payment of bi-weekly wages and related payroll taxes for more than 3,500 employees.

To execute his scheme, Ramdeo allegedly incorporated PayServ Tax Inc., and thereafter represented to officers and employees of Promise Healthcare that PayServ Tax would handle the transfer of local, state and federal payroll taxes to the proper agencies on behalf of Promise Healthcare and Success Healthcare. In fact, however, Ramdeo kept the monies paid by Promise and Success Healthcare to PayServ for his personal use.

Mr. Ferrer commended the investigative efforts of the FBI, IRS-CID, and HHS-OIG. This case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Ellen L. Cohen.

Look how robberies and murders will increase in Guyana now that the PPP clamping down on the aFC/PNC drug runnings. hahahahahah

Nonsense, follow the money trail and you will see the link of the AFc/PNC.  When the PPP revoked the license of ezjet, the AFC/PNC agents immediately shifted their focus to other venues of peddling drugs. I bring your attention to the cocaine in coconut water as well as the cocaine in fish food. Then when the busts were executed they then went to the gold robbery. When others in the AFC/PNC were peddling that ezjet was a PPP drug carrier you stayed quiet, why attack me now showing double standards???

The PPP revoked the license of EZjet when EZjet was no longer able to operate.  EZjet is a US based charter fly by noight monstrocity, so would not be able to operate if teh US DOT stopped it from doing so.

You have yet to prove anything, apart from the fact that your daily cocktail is a medley of crack, heroin, meth, and a variety of pain killers.

I heard that Ramjattan and Granger have combined force to free their drug mule Sonny. However they disagree on who to rob to get the bail money. Ramjattan say they should rob affluent Blacks and Granger says it should be the Indians that need s to be robbed since they have more money. By hook or by crook they will get money to bail out their boy Sonny. They need EZjet to stay afloat so that they can recoup their investment in this drug carrier.

The PPP wanted to do it all along however because of AFC/PNC being major shareholders they did not want to be accused of playing politics. When ezjet was unable to pay its bills that gave the PPP the right opportunity to put them out of their misery and put an end to the AFC/PNC drug trade. Notice how after ezjet was grounded how crime increased elsewhere in Guyana as the two parties shifted their focus of fund raising back to robbery of ordinary Guyanese.

Swift Air, the company from which the airline leased aircraft, subsequently pulled out of their deal for monies owed resulting in the US Department of Transportation suspending the carrier’s licence, a move which was followed by the Guyanese aviation authorities.

That was on advice of the GOG.

The GCAA revoked EZjets license to fly to guyana AFTER IT WAS REVOKED BY THE US DOT!!!

EZjet was a US carrier and the US govt will NOT shut it down because some little corrupt Rice Republic says it should.

Now you are telling a different story, that ezjet is an an American based carrier. But you will note that Ramjattan, Granger and Nagamootoo are held in high esteem by the US govt which on their advice gave ezjet rights to fly. The ppp have been trying for the past year to get this fly by night drug carrier for the AFC/PNc to be shut down. But it took the financial turmoil from non payment by drug lords for precious cargo to cause the airline a financial shortfall and hence inability to pay its bills. This was revealed in the same fbi report that rn referenced.

Ezjet was REGISTERED in the USA because your incompetent PPP regime cannot implement the necessary regulatory oversight to allow Guyana to be given a Cat 1 rating by the FAA.

This doesnt mean that Jagdeo didnt sink his money into (a possible reason why your claims of his financial difficulties might be true).

Now youmake me laugh.  If the PPP wanted EZjet shut down all they had to do was to refuse it landing rights.  Any country can deny an airline entry, especially as Guyana does NOT have an Open Skies agreement with any one.
