Donald Trump's pick to be national security adviser, retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, called Islamism a "vicious cancer inside the body of 1.7 billion people" that has to be "excised" during an August speech.

Flynn, who has called Islam as a whole a "cancer" in the past, made the comments during a speech to the Ahavath Torah Congregation in Stoughton, Massachusetts. Video of his speech is available on YouTube and was reviewed by CNN's KFile.
"We are facing another 'ism,' just like we faced Nazism, and fascism, and imperialism and communism," Flynn said. "This is Islamism, it is a vicious cancer inside the body of 1.7 billion people on this planet and it has to be excised."

And Obama's complacency!

Baseless and useless as usual, and were it not for the heavy tones of bigotry would have been ignored. You have no business taking your place amongst civil and decent human beings on this Board. You have lost your privilege to be part of this Forum. This is not simply arguments and discussion of differing opinions. This is beyond the pale. This has crossed the lines of hate and you are a merchant of hate, period. Get off this Borard and go hang with the bigots on Breitbart, unless if they want to hang your sorry brown a-s-s.

I think Flynn is painting all Muslims with a broad brush. I do not believe all 1.7 billion Muslims are filled with hate. And how does he plan on excising this so called "cancer"?

Retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn reportedly installed a secret internet connection into his office at the Pentagon even though it was "forbidden," according to a new profile in The New Yorker by Dana Priest.

The network connection was reportedly among other rules the former chief of the Defense Intelligence Agency broke because he found them to be "stupid," including his sometimes unauthorized sneaking out of a CIA station in Iraq and his sharing of classified information with NATO allies without approval.

It's likely his Pentagon office already had an authorized, unclassified connection to the Internet called NIPRNet, which is separate from classified networks such as SIPRNet and JWICS, a former DIA analyst told Business Insider.

All of those networks are monitored in some way. A separate, unknown network would not have had the same — or possibly any — level of monitoring. If it were implemented in secret, it would also not have the same protections from hackers that a known connection would have.

It's also possible that Flynn's Pentagon office was known as a SCIF, or sensitive compartmented information facility — a secure facility in which intelligence can be discussed without fear of it being compromised. Network connections in SCIFs are closely controlled, and outside electronics such as mobile phones are not allowed inside.

"If his office was a SCIF, then that would be really bad," the DIA analyst said. "But there are so many unknowns."

Whether or not his office was a SCIF, the possibility of an external internet connection being installed in violation of facility rules drew parallels to former presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, who was often criticized by the general on the campaign trail for using a private email server while she was secretary of state.

"So there seems to be a standard for the Clintons that's not the same standard for the rest of America," Flynn told The Heritage Foundation of what would happen if someone at DIA had done what Clinton had done.

Flynn, Donald Trump's newly named national security adviser, told The New Yorker's Dana Priest that he would sneak out of the CIA station in Iraq when he was assigned there without the "insane" required approval from headquarters.

He also said he had technicians install an Internet connection in his Pentagon office, even though it was forbidden.

Another time, Flynn said he gave classified information to NATO allies without approval, which resulted in an investigation and a warning from superiors.

Flynn's former colleagues the Defense Intelligence Agency, where he served as director, described him as someone they liked personally, but not as a good leader.

He would often say things that weren't true, one subordinate told The New Yorker, such as stating that Iran had killed more Americans than al Qaeda.

Flynn was also known to have a temper, former associate said, and berated people of front of colleagues.

Flynn was eventually told he had to leave the DIA by James Clapper, who until last week, was the Director of National Intelligence.

Part of the Fake news brigade:

The lifelong intelligence officer, who once valued tips gleaned from tribal reporters, has become a ready tweeter of hackneyed conspiracy theories. He reposts the vitriol of anti-Semitic and anti-Muslim commentators. “Fear of Muslims is RATIONAL,” he tweeted in February, linking to a false claim that Islam wants eighty per cent of humanity enslaved or exterminated. “U decide,” he posted one week before the election, along with the headline from a linked story that appeared on a Web site called True Pundit: “NYPD Blows Whistle on New Hillary Emails: Money Laundering, Sex Crimes w/Children, etc. . . . MUST READ!”

One of this idiot Basement hero. Why is this guy still posting in this Forum. This is worse than anything anybody who's been banned posted. He needs to be on some KKK white Board whee they will b1tch-slap his sorry brown a_s_s. Get him outta here. We don't need his hate pollution here.

From the NY Times

General Flynn, 57, a registered Democrat, was Mr. Trump’s main national security adviser during his campaign.

Mr. Trump and General Flynn both see themselves as brash outsiders who hustled their way to the big time. They both post on Twitter often about their own successes, and they have both at times crossed the line into outright Islamophobia.

As an adviser, General Flynn has already proved to be a powerful influence on Mr. Trump, convincing the president-elect that the United States is in a “world war” with Islamist militants and must work with any willing allies in the fight, including President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia.

During the transition, General Flynn has been present when Mr. Trump has received his daily intelligence briefing. As national security adviser, he would have the last word on how the president should respond to crises such as a showdown with China over the South China Sea or an international health crisis like the Ebola epidemic.

But, like Mr. Trump, he would enter the White House with significant baggage. The Flynn Intel Group, a consulting firm he founded after he was fired by President Obama as head of the Defense Intelligence Agency, has hazy business ties to Middle Eastern countries and has appeared to lobby for the Turkish government. General Flynn also took a paid speaking engagement last year with Russia Today, a television network funded by the Kremlin, and attended the network’s lavish anniversary party in Moscow, where he sat at Mr. Putin’s elbow.

Ba$eman MUST GO. Get him outta here. Too much hate with this guy. We Guyanese-Americans and Guyanese in the Diaspora do not want to be associated with such outright hate and bigotry. Such hatred has resulted in real-life kicking, taunting and more to born Americans living in the USA.

If Amral is to uphold the principles of exchanges free of hate and bigotry Ba$eman would be history.

Let's see if he goes or decent posters here abandon this site.

I worry more about trumpism and these twisted people in position of influence. It could be a way stop to rapid decline of what we know to be america. I care very little about the decline of morality in islam if the US does not itself have a moral center. These are budding fascists not followers of a creed we think to be america

The principles say he stay. I am convinced he is wrong and can speak to those wrongs from a position of fact and moral underpinning.  He represents a wrong headedness that has to be addressed as McCarthyism in its heights was addressed. He is what the neo cons made, what an idealistic Obama caused to happen.

Let's stay focused. It's not about Flynn and Islamophobia in America. Thes will continue. What we need to focus on is someone with a Guyanese heritage who posts this with glee. Focus on eradicating this cancer that demeans all of us here associated with this Forum. Stop talking about Flynn. Let's talk about getting Ba$eman's hatred out of this Forum.

Danyael, this is about beyond wrong. This is not about debates with differing opinions. This is downright bigotry - a principle we all uphold in this Forum. What "principles say he stay". You can write reams of counter arguments; it won't change the fundamental principle at stake here - a post that you tolerate as decent debate that you can counter "from a position of fact and moral underpinning". This is hate. What other evidence do you need? what counter do you think is productive?

I guess he is just posting something that was published on CNN.  Let's wait to see him try to defend Flynn.  I wouldn't be surprised if he tries to.

Flynn is the chosen of a legitimate president! He got there because some 50 million people swallowed whole cloth this diseased ideology where you can say what you want and contradict yourself in the morning and still think you are fact based and honest.

Baseman is no different from Cobra or SkeldonApe. Each of them have differing degrees of mental instability. You can treat them as we do Ronald Arjune or address them from the assumed position they are rational but misguided. Since they are not schitzoid you use them to illustrate how better a view of the world you have than theirs. You cannot ostracize them.

Obviously,  the state assault on a people because of religion can never foundational in america for it to remain the unique place it is. This place has a history of some odious practices against non whites but what it has become, the symbol of freedom it lived and presented itself as over the last half of a century is worth fighting for.

Listen you little retard.  I posted a CNN piece of a position of a US official to be.  I believe this is newsworthy to everyone, whether you believe, don't believe or partially believe.

Do I believe 1.7 Bil Muslims are part of this "Islamism" thing, no!  However, there are a lot more "Islamism" than Islamist extremist and I do believe there is certain intermixing!

Oye Flycatcher, I thought this site is GNI, about Guyana.  You post a lot of anti-PPP hate shyte and you support the despotic PNC.  That is more criminal towards the Indians of Guyana than Flynn making anti-Islamism statements!

I have no illusions your diseased mind would not see me as unstable given it is I who confront your illness daily.  You are right, there is a wonderful tree house in my motherinlaw's backyard. She built it as a novelty and a quiet place. It could do with a couple of simians but it is a pity no one is there to care for them. Your kind do need special care.

Flynn may have spoken incorrectly about Muslims in general but he is correct in his analysis that Islamic fundamentalism is a threat to the world like the defeated isms of the twentieth century.   America defended Europe and the world from fascism and communism and this same nation is now relied on to defeat the scourge of Islamic fundamentalism.  The world needs American leadership and power again to save it and keep us free.

Fundamentalism in all its forms is an evil state. Nativism is fundamentalism. Trunpism is fundamentalist nativism.  America does not need saving. America is more that the government. It is the people and the government coincident on specific ideals and those trumpeters  like you with your make Amereica great again are delusional. No time in the past was America represented of its ideals better than as it is experienced by us presently. Trumpism can quickly metastasized to a disease. You seem to have a full blown infestation of it.           x

I am very surprised that a conservative jewish synagogue would invite Flynn in to say this nonsense at a time when the conservative jewish movement is at war with the Israeli Jewish right wing and Netanyahu.
