Should they be outlawed on GNI or are these just part of the language we Guyanese have used in our past and is part of what makes us who we are.
I will say they are okay depending in the context in which they are used.

Most people of African descent in Guyana describe themselves as "black". "Afro Guyanese" is the PC term and "African" used almost exclusively by intellectuals.

I think Riff tries to be fair and gives lots of leeway but there are many times I see filth posted where he should stand tough. Even with some of my posts I should be given time out but when I blow up it is because of the stupidity I read which makes us all come across as morons and it also seems the filth is quite acceptable.
Recently I have been spending my time on things more meaniful in my life and won't be spending much time here. Even after being away for awhile it seems I miss absofkinlutely nothing.

I hear you Cain. No doubt there is criticism of the actions of this government by those who supported them. My comment was more to if the board is nastier now and in my opinion, it is not. Just the comments about Priya can compensate for a few thousand slop can comments now because those comments about Priya were extremely nasty. And my comment was not to you anyway. Show your disapproval if you don't agree with the actions of the government in power. The biggest difference now is the personal attacks on GNI members which is supposed to be against the rules. Prior to the 2015 elections, many PPP supporters were also personally attacked. My senility is not so advanced that I don't remember the attacks of many who were accused of being paid by the PPP. The board has always been nasty. Who remember all those nasty comments regarding Reds? Certainly Satan doesn't post anymore but he wasn't the only one making nasty comments about Reds. There were many posters here paid by the PPP. That is a fact. Kwame headed a special unit that was responsible for posting PPP propaganda on various social media sites and they were here on GNI. So if those people were exposed, it was well deserved because they were using taxpayer funds to promote the PPP. Yes, there were always personal insults being thrown around but I don't remember anything on the level of trolling that we have here today. At least Shaitan had something of value to add to the forum besides the times when he ran off on a tangent and made some crude posts. He's an intelligent guy but very mischievous. In the end he was on the PPP bandwagon before the 2015 elections and had mostly cleaned up his posts. How did I help to change the Government in Guyana? I don't vote in Guyana, I do not belong to any political party in Guyana nor do I give money to any political party in Guyana. No one in Guyana knows about GNI. This is just a place for a few expatriates to quarrel all day and no one in Guyana gives a shit about them. Baseman, no one complains about the government being abused. That's what this forum is for. If you don't like the government, show your disapproval because most times they deserve it. What Cain is talking about is the personal insults thrown towards members of this forum. There's a big difference and that's why the Admin published rules against personal insults.
