I doubt d2 can play the guitar other than a few bars of twinkle twinkle little star.

As for the video, this guy is obviously a professional who is talented but I don't see where he goes from here. Would like to hear more of his own material rather than covers of other people's work. That is the measure of a real musician.  It becomes monotonous after a while, listening to him ukulele away at cover songs.

Stupid man. If  you can play a few bars of twinkle twinkle Stars what limits you from playing  anything else? Music is simple if you have a talent for it. Its alphabet is just seven letters.

On the Guitar you play the Ionian Scale   or Major scale  which is your standard " do ray me fa so la te do"  or for you since you,  your basic raga ( scale) "Sa, Re, Ga, Ma, Pa, Dha and Ni" and it is all the notes you need.

Start playing that in C major, (walk up up the Guitar string on the "fat" " e" string  to C and begin). It is the same as C Ionian.  One note up on that scale and you are in Dorian, another note and you are in Phrygian or six notes up to the natural minor Aoelian.

Those are the "colors" of  music. Like anything you have to have a feel for it to progress. The feeling is what makes ignoramuses like you understand and appreciate the music. It is what makes musicians want to create it. One does not have to know the technical stuff to play it but it makes it a hell of a lot easier.

So when you say some one can play "twinkle twinkle little stars" and can't play anything else you are simply showing you are musically ignorant. In  that song are all the notes for playing anything and with a little instruction one can play it all over the fretboard.

There is no necessity for doing that however. People like BB king play within a small area of the neck mainly and if you subscribe to the minimal movement you can find  any heptatonic or pentatonic scale to suit your song  from any position on the neck within a four fret range.

Jake is a professional Guitarist. He has a career enough to be on tour . I am going to see him at the Birchmere in, Alexandria, VA in the fall. He is a guitar god in addition to his ukulele mastery so any person interesting in playing the guitar will come to  know him.

Cain and I have been talking about Guitars since we came on this site. And Yes, it is one of the many things I do well

All you had to do is post a video of yourself playing guitar, you don't have to show your face. I still think you can only play twinkle twinkle little star. hahahah

My son is a developing guitarist. I will post one of his numbers later.

I play the piano, not extremely good, however I developed some competence but realized my limit. You have to start young to play like Jake. Its difficult to teach an old dog new tricks.

This forum is not his cup of tea.

No wonder you can only play twinkle twinkle little star and jingle bells, both beginner's songs.

At 50 you will be marginally successful at guitar. Starting at a young age allows your hands to move faster than your brain can translate. The memory would be in your fingers rather than a deliberate cognitive process of sending signals from the brain to fingers. If you are a musician you would understand, but you are a hacker it seems, no wonder you keep making excuses to not post a video and back up your mouth. hahaha

I was playing in the streets at 15 when I knew only 3 chord rhythms. I am sure I can play well because I have played with professionals and I do play in a street band presently as time permits.

However, success is what I make it to be. I  am no Santana but I can interpret all his songs enough to play them before an audience. I am no Duane Alman but I can sure play the hell out of his songs. I am studying gypsy music and in time I will surely play the hell of Al Di Meola. I know I am a kick ass guitarist and have no fear doing  on a walk on with a jazz, rock or blues bar  band on any friday night

You limit yourself. I spent every summer learning something new. You should so you can redefine success for yourself.

I do not hack computers in there bad sense. I worked in computer security for many companies as a contract programmer over many years so I know a lot about the internals of a computer OS and Networking. I no longer program for anyone but I still use it in what I do presently.

We all know that your imagination gets the better of you from time to time. Post the video and put the questions to rest. Let us see you play a piece and justify the bragging.

who is the we that "knows" me? I do not take requests simply because someone decides to be stupidly disparaging. I do not brag. If  you care to hear me play, next time you are in town, drop me a line. I would gladly have you over.

Ah ha, you are a hoakster. You had no issues posting the bike photo of yourself in the woods. But all of a sudden you become shy with guitar. I very much doubt that you know any chords beyond plucking of twinkle twinkle little star. You tend to invent personalities as it suits your needs.  hahahhah

Here's a budding guitar player:

FM

He plays like a kid, correctly and mechanically. Granted in time he will understand what is involved in playing with feeling. He does have the mechanics down and does not make mistakes which means he has control of the fretboard.

Get him a better guitar.

In any event, what you doubt is what you doubt. I am not here to satisfy your curiosity. I am here to talk music if you wish but not to audition for you.
