For those of you who don't know, she was the first runner up at the Miss India 1994 pageant and Sushmita Sen (Miss Universe 1994) was taking back her name from the competition because she was doubting if she would win against Ash. Aishwarya eventually lost the mega title to Sushmita and became the first runner up.
