Villagers manage to capture a 6.4m (21ft) long crocodile that officials believe may have previously killed and eaten two people

A wildlife hunter subduing the giant 6.4-metre (21ft) saltwater crocodile in the town of Bunawan. The crocodile is suspected of killing a 12-year-old girl in 2009 as well as livestock and a farmer who went missing in July 2011

The crocodile, now named Lolong, swims in a shallow pond inside its temporary cage at the remote village of Consuelo . The crocodile, weighing 1,075 kg (2,370 lbs), was the biggest to be caught alive in the Philippines in recent years. Wildlife officials were trying to confirm whether it was the largest such catch in the world

That is the biggest crocodile I have ever seen. It must be a hungry one when hunting for food. It's also dangerous for humans and domestic animals living in the area of a giant predator..
