Not yet. Most likely before the night is over.

Friends on the left and on the right, Gilbakka is back. As an upstanding coalition promoter here, I was invited to Guyana by President Granger for some well-deserved R & R.

Before going into details, I have a message of greetings and gratitude to pass on from His Excellency (HE) to the PPP Indian Posse in GNI Political Forum. He wants you to know that he appreciates most highly your posts, which he is absolutely certain will give APNU+AFC a resounding victory in the 2020 elections.

I was a guest at State House and HE was gracious to give me a tour of that historic residence. The most fascinating thing I saw was a golden toilet bowl. Noticing my shock, HE said: "My predecessor had installed that. Not me." Aaahhh! I thought: that made sense. The Donald's daughter, being the gold board head, wanted the best for Mammy and Pappy. Good girl!

But I was in for a bigger shock. "You know," HE said, "you should visit the PM's official residence. He just installed a titanium toilet bowl with automatic derriere sanitizer, costing around $4M. "

As a longtime AFC supporter, I also paid a visit to my leader Khemraj Ramjattan. I arrived just in time to get a juicy piece of bar-b-q jaguar meat and a glass of cockshun to wash it down.

Next on my itinerary was Pradoville 2. Specifically, the "mansion" of the Leader of the Opposition. Indeed, it looks like a mansion from outside. However, the interior is sparsely furnished, just like a bachelor's quarter. I saw a few rattan chairs, a small desk, and about a half dozen kerosene lamps. No chandeliers. I got two big shocks, bigger than the one about the PM titanium toilet.

Firstly, in Dr Dr BJ's bedroom there is only a single cot. Noticing my astonishment, the ex-President told me that he used to sleep on the same cot when he had occupied State House. He said his ex-wife didn't like it as a marital bed. Aahhh! I thought: it made sense for her to sleep on the sofa outside the bedroom.

Secondly, believe it or leave it, Dr Dr BJ uses an ordinary pit latrine when nature calls, and it is not outside the building. Noticing my alarm, he assured me: "It's sound economics to have it inside this house than outside. And it's environmentally perfect; I didn't want my neighbours Rohee and Gary Best complaining about offending odors." Aaahhhhh!!!!

CAUTIONARY NOTE: Accept the veracity of all the above at your own peril. Look people, we all need to lighten up and cool down. For the umpteenth time I have to repeat: don't let Guyana party politics bring out the worst in you. Feel free to state your opinions and respect your opponents' opinions. Good night.

Note for those currently in the slammer for bad behaviour: Mitwah, warria and redux.

A month's time out will give them lots of time to reflect on what Gil just posted.

Time and time again posters start cussing out and swearing at other posters who present opposing views. Admin is now sending a very strong message to those who behave as if this is a rum shop.

Billy, you're entitled to your opinions. In fact, most of your posts are opinions and suppositions. I'm okay with that. I shall continue to post in favour of the coalition.

What bothers me is that we've never had an Indian PNCite who showed some balls and  exercised a little independence in their political thinking. They are always expending their energies trying to defend the PNC to a point where they have become ultra anti-Indian or rabid intra-racists. This is not good for race relations nor for Guyana. It only hardens the Indian people belief that the PNC is out to oppress them and there is no room for any kind of change in that party.

We have never had an Indo PPPite who showed some balls either.  Jagdeo says bend over, and they quickly touch their toes.

Race relations in Guyana will remain sour until you all stop peddling "bad blackman, good Indian".  BOTH races have been very bad, and you need to be honest about that.  Or cease talking race altogether.

Naaaah.  Billy is one of the most analytical minds on this forum, and his analysis is based on facts.  If you looking for a man who can write laaang, senseless Nancy story, look no further than at the top of this thread.

Here is a clue - he seems to have an unusual obsession with titanium toilets and pit latrines.  Who writes this kind of stuff anyway?  AND why?

Billy, more than once I stated clearly on this BB that I am a Guyanese who happens to have Indian ancestors. On my birth certificate, under the heading "Nationality", is the word GUYANESE. And that is what matters most to me; it is my birthright. I do not owe you or any Indian anything; no obligation whatever. This is the outlook I have held since my high school days.

Your attitude speaks volumes to anyone familiar with the Guyanese personality. You have something to hide. If you are going to present yourself as an eyewitness to political events and put out articles about it then you ought to identify yourself honestly. Why should I or anyone else give credence to you what you have to say when you pretending to be what you really are not.

You still don't get it, man. I am a Guyanese first and foremost. My ethnicity means absolutely nothing to me. Never did I write anything on Guyana's politics from an ethnic/race perspective. I don't think in those terms. As for "credence", I crave it not from racial Indians.

Your damn ethnicity means something to you unless you have numbed yourself to the ethnic injustices as way of escaping. Keep that bull for your idiotic friends.

There are a few like Django, whose race cannot easily be ascertained, but I suspect that he is Indian. Cain stated that he is Portuguese.

As to the rest.  I cannot believe that you are seriously asking that question.

Guyanese of Portuguese decent. Knows absolutely nothing about Portuguese, knows all about being Guyanese.

All you leave my Buddy Gil alone.

Gil is a supporter of the coalition as much as I am PPP supporter.

Gil does not see race, he has always been that way. It is a quality that I admire.

Read carefully at this forum and you can see it is politics which creates racial division in Guyana. Will it end ? Yes.

In 15 years this issue of race politics will end. Those who fail to adjust to change will be left behind.

The problem is that those who speak out against racial injustices are being labelled racists and that is where the fight and argument begins. Indos and Afros have both suffered but we are slowly beginning to get tired of this issue. Time will heal all wounds.

It's your privilege to be angry, sir. I do understand that once you've decided to think inside a race/ethnic box, you cannot think outside that box.

Indeed, a long-long time ago I numbed myself to the ethnic injustices of Indians by fellow Indians. Indian shopkeepers robbing and shortchanging Indian customers. Rich Indian men sexually exploiting their poor Indian domestics. Cowardly Indians hiring blacks to kill their own Indian relatives for land and house. These and more ethnic injustices perpetrated on Indians by Indians are occurring right now in Guyana, according to newspaper reports.

GILBAKKA SUSPENDED, what a misleading heading. Sure to gain attention and then controversy , well, you have done so. You ,as an Indo Guyanese has tailored your conversation to insult fellow Guyanese, then saying according to news reports. You are pulling a "Donald Trump" stunt, it is your personal opinion. What you are saying can be said of all races in Guyana and such crimes are perpetuated all over the world. Now tell me what is your solution to these problems. Don't take pride in creating problems, unless you have a Cure.
