Moses Nagamootoo was sharp earlier this afternoon at Naressa Palace in So Ozone Park in building trust among the two races in the Opposition's quest to win the next elections and remove a corrupt PPP/C government.

Speaking of his delivery by an Afr0-Guyanes mid-wife and being schooled by Afro-Guyanese teachers and growing up with APNU's leader Granger, and in being the ambassador in talks of shared governance with the PNC in the 70s, Moses allayed the notion of distrust among the races in Guyana. Mixing metaphors about growing up and humor in castigating the current PPP regime, Moses played to an audience encouraged by the comity evident among Guyanese in the Diaspora of both races.

Granger was forceful though clearly it was Moss' afternoon in a locale that is predominantly Indo-Guyanese. Notwithstanding this the audience seemed more APNU than AFC and that made Moses' speech all the more remarkable.

The event had its handful of protesters from the Association of Concerned Guyanese, the Guyana Solidarity Movement and ROAR and the emphasis was more on Granger and APNU. Moses brought the house down with his observation that while it is usual for the opposition to protest the government today the government was protesting the opposition. Sign of things to come when the PPP protests APNU-AFC?

So when he was ranting and raving about the PNC, APNU & AFC, he was just having a mental breakdown?

I presume you mean these rantings were before Moses joined the AFC. Moses as a PPP member and leader and a member of the PPP/C government had a right to go after the opposition of the day. Won't you do the same Kzaaaz? It shows leadership and loyalty to party. That's all he's doing today - railing against the oppostion, in this case the PPP, nah true?!

And a packed Naressa Palace. I must mention the creative use of the tassa drummers before the start of the afternoon's presentations.

And a word of praise for a truly poignant performance by Verna Walcott's girls of the Dance Impressions theater. They were a truly magnificent group of dancers who made you feel proud to be a Guyanese. I would encourage all to go see them whenever they perform. I believe their annual graduation is in June at the Jamaica Performing Arts Theater in Jamaica, Queens. You can get a glimpse of them and other dancers and drummers in an evening in late April at the Zen Hibachi in Richmond Hill in a lineup of Guyanese artists to celebrate the Queen's College of Guyana 4th anniversary of the entrance of girls in the school.

Exactly. Politicians say not what is right or truthful but what advances their current endeavors. That is their right. I choose not to have any orgasms over what any politician say or do. Many here seem not to be able to avoid having those orgasms.

This guy was just simply pandering to the PNC to fit in. The Guyanese people have seen better than him before who pandered with extreme eloquence and never won the hearts of the masses. Moses was boring and unimpressive. He is no longer a valuable asset to the opposition. He is now a fully depreciated asset that must be discarded from the books.

so why yall so concerned about him if he fully depreciated...seems he still have some decent residual value.....maybe worth 15% of PPP votes

That is some serious residual value

Moses has to work the the black voters, because the indian don't want to see him in Guyana, let him enjoy the attention in North America, that's his last hooray.Granger &Moses can have all the sold out crowd in NY but they can't VOTE. They came to raise funds, but the collection was low, they paid to come ,see, hear, eat and drink but little donation.

Bai Ray, if Moses thought he had any chance, he would not have joined up with the PNC. Nobody afraid of Moses. Right now I am just having fun at his expense especially since whoever wins the elections will have no basis on my life or livelihood.

I have been very critical of Moses Nagamootoo. Mainly, because he assisted in creating the monster that Jagdeo has become to the Guyanese people. I now see a man free in a political will to build a united country. Granger and him compliment each other. So many times, in every political party the quest to team up an Afro and Indo to present to the voters, but this time it is a Natural-like ebony and ivory-salt and pepper-fits like a glove. Plain and simple. Comfortable.

David Granger is the only person from the PNC who has the personality to face the Indians at a public meeting place. Forbes Burnham couldn't dare to show his face on the Corentyne. But Granger can. Even Desmond Persaud, the statesman, wouldn't dare face the Indians, But David Granger can. Corbin definitely never ever venture to the Corentyne. But the Corentyne will lend David Granger their ears.

I look forward to their victory. God bless them.

The Indian vote is between 45-48%.  You do know that screaming "Indian this and Indian that" confirms in the minds of non Indians that the PPP is a "coolie party" (stated by Jagdeo and confirmed by Rohee), so already they know that there is no room for them.

Granger is all over Amerindian areas speaking to decent crowds, when one considers the small populations.

about 2 decades ago. I wrote, how important Amerindians were to break the ethnic pattern of indo and afro governance. There is a season for everything under the sun. After 65 years, the country sees the signs of a detour from certain head on crash.

Recently, I commented also that the Amerindians must be incorporated into the GDF. Of course under a separate unit trained by foreigners and stationed in the interior to patrol the borders. They must be disciplined in all services. Air patrol as well. The Venez will not dare confront them. Eventually Amerindian from neighbouring countries could find peace and progress in Guiana-their land of many waters.

Whilst I was at this meeting, I witnessed a poor display by many of the Executives for the APNC/AFC

An elderly Indian guy was booing at the back.

He was forcefully grabbed and was in the move to be "Chucked Out"

It did not stop there.

These guys then called the NYPD and wanted them to take him out forcefully.

Even "George Correira" had to intervene.

It is clear they had no respect for the US law as he was not disturbing the peace, just in opposition.

It was a sad happening
