Hmm..i used to Know Leonora well during my high sch days 1971-76)

During Olevel exams, the lower forms used to get 1/2 day as they needed the form-rooms for exams.

those days we used to ‘stray’..for that free 1/2 day

Sometimes we used to travel down with train to leonora train station.

I rem the sugar factory n Maha Sabha sec sch were on 1 side..Roxy cinema was on the other side

the market used to be very big!! ..

1 of my gf lived in Deo Mahadeo St n i visited her very often â€Ķher house was across from the-back of the sch yard

another classmate lived opp the sch..theyhad a shop

many of my classmates were from this village..from Cow Dam, Parafield, Seafield..n Pub Rd

few lived  near to the Police Station..

wolf’s daughter was-my classmate n friend n we visited her a few times

there was Sukul’s saw mill..few friends lived nearby.  1 of his sons was my classmate

Sukul son Kenny was mine, I heard he died a few years ago. I had contact with his Aunt in the UK and she told me.

Oudai shop, which of the kids, they had Ramesh, Dinesh, Mukesh, Prakash, Sita and another daughter. One had a foot problem. Ramesh was into music, he tried teaching me to play the tabla a few times, but I never got into it. Prakash went to Zeeburg school.

The sisters and Dinesh and Mukesh left Guyana first as far as I can remember

bai in my days every blasted area was Leonora to me up to the bridge between Leonora and Anna Catherina. All I use to know is Parafield and Seafield, and Groeneveldt
