Kari the joker asking us to elaborate a national development plan on GNI.  Rather, let his PNC put forward a national development plan for Guyana.  The PPP was running on their plan with some critical infrastructue investments to shift the national economic paradigm.  No one is perfect and im sure there are elements which could have been improved upon. That has all now been halted, so lets see what your boys propose rather than requesting few of us to elaborate here on GNI.  Kari, stop being a cop-out and propose your plans.  Your boys are now running the cake shop.

Ba$e....you and the other comrades here laud the PPP. I posited two notions:

  1. The PPP has failed you guys in restructuring Guyana's economy for the good
  2. The PPP has no ideas on how to do the job you claim it can do. So show me.

No one is asking for the sake of asking....only that you said you know how.

It's the same as asking you how you would do differently in the Middle East as Donald Trump claims he can. No ideas. That's my point.

All I hear from Bibibushka and Nehrooo and cobraman is yap, yap, yap.....and poof...nothing....nada....zippo. Bunch of losers!!!

Kari, you are a joker, I repeat!  Guyana's economy cannot be restructured in a major way without major investment, including infrastructure.  How and where do you expecting the funding.  One major attempt at this was Amelia.  PPP had limited options to effect major restructure as in 1992 they had nothing.  They followed the IMF plan for divesting as a part of restructuring.  They had to allow the organic economy to take off and see where that leads.  Guyana needed the "robber baron" phase and needed this to run a bit more.  Cheap power would have given the Govt something to work with.

We now you boys have money and maybe even oil, so there goes!

Base......you validated my point about the PPP having no ideas.

In 1992 the Paris Club got rid of the majority of Guyana's sovereign debt and do you think the narco violence was good for encouraging foreign capital and technology? Calling anyone a joker does not enhance your response; it just shows your intellectual bankruptcy.

Imagine you have excuses for the PPP in beginning! They squandered that benefaction from the international community.

Amelia was a fat porker that would have resulted in unreliable output and the highest electric rate per kilowatt hour on the planet.

By organic economy you mean the drug culture that so thickly beset us with junkies and gun men! The funding of expansion of drug money has brought us no manufacturing since drug runners are bottom feeding dunces with no technical know how to dream of building factories, CNC machines for automation etc.

Not one damn thing that can be mass produced via automation exist in the nation....except possibly soda pop.The drug culture produces endless streams of fast food eatery, flimsy malls and overt consumerism. The money shuts out serious entrepreneur since it increases the cost of doing business. Then there is the corruption it engenders. The tacit permission of political elite results in corruption.

Never been a member of the PNC and never will.

Never been a member of the PPP and never will

Never voted in an election in Guyana and never will.

I was a polling agent in 1973 for the Liberator party (but not of a voting age).

The PNC has no ideas - that's not the point.

The PP is claimed by you and others here to have ideas - let's hear them.

That's all this conversation is about, so you can stop (i) mention of joker as it doesn't help your cause; and (ii) show what ideas the PPP has.

Simple. Make your case. Forget about the PNC and about whoever else posts here. Just put up!

Liberator was the only party I ever voted for before leaving.

You seem to have been on the right track early in life, but something went awfully wrong!!

I said/wrote quite a lot on the topic over the past few years.  Now, let's see your people in action.  Apart from wishing for oil, what is the PNC Plan?  The PPP was on the correct path and needed that big power project as industrial development will be curtailed.  I don't know what you want to happen if there is no cheap power to do it!!  Guyana has remained, and will continue to remain a basic economy for that reason, PPP or PNC, oil apart!

Now you tell me, what will the PNC do to break Guyana out of that box!!

Barbados and Jamaica do not have oil but they manufacture stuff and their workforce is more educated than Guyana's.
