The Granger Government squat in office illegally since 2018 and used the court to their advantages and punish the Guyanese people for their ego lifestyle. General Election was held over a month, again they used the court to stay in office illegally and the people suffer as thousands of dollars is spend on court cases.

In relation to the heading of this thread, I was expecting to see Agricultural products like rice, sugar etc as well as bauxite, timber lil ile an so on. Instead, I'm seeing people engaging in humanitarian activities, no problem there. But where are the Natural Resources?
Shiek bhai, the intention is to show poverty ( not the humanitarian side of delivering hampers ). It breaks my heart to know Guyana is bless with many resources, yet we are curse. Thanks to the politicians.
Just imagine if sanctions is imposed on Guyana how much more devastating it will be.
The residents are neglecting their community, they can at least clean their yards, plant vegetables and flowers.
I donât care about the adults, it breaks my heart seeing the kids in those conditions. I share the pictures with my family members, my two daughters break down...
Just saw this thread, it not the intention to show the poor. The picture like a picture story differs.
Even if the intention to show the poor, it's the neglect of the former government to raise the level of the people from poverty. The same leader and party you are supporting. The leader and his minions was fattening themselves neglecting the poor ,wasted millions of US dollars on projects that never came to fruition. That political party ruled for 23 yrs ,their tenure ended in 2015 .

33 years => PNCR in power = 1964 to 1992 & 2015 to 2020.
23 years => PPP in power = 1992 t0 2015
Established credible sources indicated that PNCR retained power through fraudulent elections while in power.
It was Jimmy Carter's organization which monitored the elections in 1992 when the PPP became the government.
It was also established through reliable independent sources that during the PNCR period in government - 1964 to 1992 - the economy and state of affairs were in shambles; Guyana's debt was about 90%, etc., etc., etc..
PPPC took the country from the deplorable state left by the PNCR and worked to rebuild the various areas in the country from 1992 to 2015.
And your point is?
You're not trying to say these people were worse off and they have been lifted up while PPP were in office, are you? Perhaps given a few 2x4 planks.

When the PPP/C came to power in 1992 ,Guyana was already on the road to recovery ,which started under Hugh Desmond Hoyte in 1985. Fraudulent Elections from 1968 ,was conceived by players who wanted to keep Jagan out of power. Also not all the periods between 1964 to 1992 the economy was in shambles. Perhaps history needed to be revisited .

Before his passing Forbes Burnham had negotiations with Cheddi Jagan to form a national government. While Desmond Hoyte desired to proceed with the Burnham/Jagan initiatives, he was stopped from this option.

Not true ,the first thing Hoyte did was remove the restriction of banned items , open up the economy and divestment of State owned enterprises .Also Cambio's was set for people to get foreign exchange.
