Happy Mothers to all also and to those fathers that play the role of mothers. To those who have lost their mothers I join with you in sharing this loss. It is my first mothers day without my mother. And I do miss her.

 

Mothers day for me was more special in Guyana than it was in Canada. Since the gifts I got my mother was more meaningful and thoughtful.

 

Material things were harder then and people appreciated what you got them in those days plus money was tight. But I will save a dollar or two here and there each month from my allowance. It is amazing what you could have gotten for about 10 or 20 dollars back then. Good decent stuff. If I was short on the cash my uncle would always come through to help me.
