.May this day and every day brings peace to all, Happy Yuman Nabi to all my family and friends .
Youman Nabi commemorates the birth and death anniversary of the Holy Prophet Mohamed (on whom be peace) and is being observed and celebrated throughout the Muslim world.
The exemplary life of the Prophet Mohamed in terms of his simplicity, honesty and integrity should be emulated by all which could only redound to the good of humanity.

Birth and death anniversary indeed. To me, it is the period between the two events that matters. The way he conducted himself prior to his prophetic calling, through his life as a prophet and even his prayer on his death bed teaches us very valuable lessons on living. As one historian wrote, "those who heard of him were in awe and those who met him quickly fell in love with him". Gandhi wrote, “I wanted to know the best of the life of one who holds today an undisputed sway over the hearts of millions of mankindâ€Ķ I became more than ever convinced that it was not the sword that won a place for Islam in those days in the scheme of life. It was the rigid simplicity, the utter self-effacement of the Prophet the scrupulous regard for pledges, his intense devotion to his friends and followers, his intrepidity, his fearlessness, his absolute trust in God and in his own mission. These and not the sword carried everything before them and surmounted every obstacle. When I closed the second volume (of the Prophet’s biography), I was sorry there was not more for me to read of that great life.” 'Young India', 1924.

Just one of the many fitting tributes to this great son of the world.
