Under Jagdeo, the PPP will not win another election. I don't see disenchanted AFC supporters flocking to the PPP.

They and the similarly disenchanted APNU supporters might stay home.

2020 depends on which party can get their voters out.  As of now NONE of them look too good.

Both Jagan and Jagdeo used to ignore the PNC in parliament. When they did respond it was to scream that they had a mandate and that nobody could tell them what to do.  Yes in a polarized nation the PPP behaved like that.

Cease with your pretense that the PPP were saints or interested in listening to what the opposition had to say.  The only time they did was after violent outbreaks.

Going to Linden and make similar promises? Are you out of your mind? The PPP gave them free electricity and what did they got a kick from the Lindener’s. The PPP gave so many other things to Lindener’s and got nothing in return.

1.  the electricity is NOT free.

2.  the PPP tried to increase the rates and slaughtered Lindeners in cold blood when they protested.

3.  The PPP wants APNU to not only cover electricity but also housing, food, clothing, entertainment, transportation and what ever else sugar workers spend their $$$ on.

1. When Linden was paying $12 per kilo watt compare to $68 for the rest of the country .. isn’t this peanuts and each household in Linden was consuming twice the amount per grid compare to home owners paying $68.

2. Since when is the Police force control by PPP ... I am missing something here .

Linden protesters were destroying their own communities , burning down newly built school among other public buildings .The police were within their rights to take action .

3. Guysuco feeds the nation for decades , they deserve a free lively hood.

The PPP headquarters and some other buildings were burned down. Any loss to Linden?  I think not.  In fact what Ramotar did was to seal the PPP loss as region 10 poured out in record numbers and the increase in votes from that region, plus Region 7 guaranteed that the PPP lost.

The police fall under the control of the Minister of Home Affairs.  NO ONE in the PPP condemned the slaughter so clearly they didn't have an issue with it. In fact after the killings the screamed that Lindeners (and black people in general) are a bunch of "ungrateful" savages and the slicing of cold lead through their negro bodies is what they deserved.

I suggest that you tell GAWU to accept cheap electricity and severance pay and stop squealing for their jobs as Guysuco estates are shut down.  Because this and some silly courses is all that bauxite workers got.  And yes APNU is now offering the same silly courses to the workers.

Its funny that you all squawk about cheap electricity for Linden and yet demand full retention of jobs or full salaries even though Guysuco is DEAD!

Well that was the language that the PPP understood.  After violent outbreaks the PPP rushed to dialogue.  When there was no violence they screamed that there was nothing that the opposition had to say that they planned to listen to/

Now ask yourself why civil discourse isn't something that the PPP can respond to, but when violence erupts they rush to the bargaining table.

A secret for you. Screaming "ahbe gat de mandate an ah you black man have to sidown and listen" isn't dialogue.

That was the PPP. They screamed that Indians are the majority and therefore should be allowed to do what they wished and that blacks should accept that and shut up. Jagan even stated that blacks are 2nd class citizens but the response forced him to spin some line that he was misunderstood.

Their behavior was such that Jimmy Carter washed his hands off Guyana until he returned in 2015 to do what he did in 1992, and that was to help rid Guyana of a political monster.  He expressed deep disappoint with the PPP's refusal to govern inclusively.  This is the man who worked to ensure that democracy returned to Guyana in 1992.

A advise for you !!! Bullying is not the way. PPP didn’t use its majority to control blacks . A country prosper by good management and financial planning among other things which Indo are bless with . So PPP put Afro arsss  to sit and watch how we do it . The PPP took a run down mismanage country that was destroy in 28 years and in 23 years PPP brought Guyana back on the world map  to a vibrant economy where even black people had a decent live .

Unfortunatley , within 3 years the Afro president destroy ... what a shame .

Sadly bullying is the way. When Hoyte was nice they ignored him. When he yelled "mo fiah" that is when a bunch of joint commissions were set up. When the PNC abandoned the tactic of street marches the PPP ignored them again.

So arrogant was the PPP that even when 51% of the population voted AGAINST them the PPP still yelled that they have a mandate and have no obligation to listen.

Sadly the PNC was most effective when its street protests turn violent and you can blame the PPP for that.

Why?  Its the PPP which landed them with the white elephant Marriott so they need to use that hotel to generate revenues to fix the shoddy construction and to service the debt which the PPP incurred.

When they still didn't move the police decided to shoot.  If Granger did that to sugar workers you all would be screaming and howling and wailing "INDIAN GENOCIDE, black man a kill ahbe!"
