How wonderful Guyana would be if the PNC would learn to live by the rules of the game. In all elections conducted while the PPP were the government, elections were held within the required 90 days margin with the exception of 2006 where an abnormal condition existed. For 2006, the window was extended to 120 days with the support of the then PNC opposition. If only the PNC had tried during their 60+ years history to live by the law.
"On the other hand, Act 24 of 2006, titled the Constitution (Amendment) Act 2006, had one single amendment as follows: βIn relation to the Eighth Parliament, article 61 shall have effect as if for the words βthree monthsβ the words βfour monthsβ were substituted.β In other words, in the heat of a crime wave, and with numerous amendments to the two main election laws, only a one month extension was needed by GECOM for the holding of elections. The then opposition commissioners on GECOM at the time were Robert Williams, Lloyd Joseph and Haslyn Parris."
GECOM also have the challenge of proving that the same list that they rolled out for the November 2018 LGE is suddenly not accurate in December 2018 for G&RE.

GECOM isn't conniving at all. Conniving requires smarts. The excuses of the PNC fools at GECOM are silly and laughable.
Kascz, when ANIMALS are given clothing that does not give them human brains!!!
GECOM is not incompetent, GECOM is not stupid. GECOM giving the impression of incompetence and playing stupid to accomplish one goal, the PNC desire to delay elections as much as possible, and have the focus on GECOM and not the PNC. Then who does the international community hold responsible? Fact is GECOM allowing the PNC to get a free pass.
Understand, GECOM = PNC!
Dem rass mo smart than you think!! That Granger slick no rass!!
Dem ainβt smart Base. Dem wicked and do not understand or appreciate elections. That is the PNC record from their inception. I was warning folks about the danger of allowing the PNC to hold the keys. They never know what to do with them nor they ever mature to the rest of civilization to understand that they do not have the right to impose their wickedness on others.
The PNC leadership is out of the country as the date for a constitution crisis approaches. Granger left Guyana. Harmon is in NY. Nagamootoo is out of the country. Ramjattan left Guyana. Several of the PNC posters here have also skedaddled. Ahh wha Gwan?
Granger should stay in Cuba, he fits in perfectly!!

In the US Harmon said yesterday that there is no crisis in Guyana, that things regular. That's the message that the "plenum" has decided to put out. To let top dogs take a break while Patterson and the courts do the shaking and unmaking. Dem plenum people very smart, eh.
