Sonakshi Sinha (born on 2 June 1987 in Patna, Bihar) is an Indian Bollywood actress. She marked her debut in the Hindi film industry in the 2010 film Dabangg, which went onto become the highesst grossing Bollywood film of the year. Sinha started her career as a costume designer, designing the costumes for films like Mera Dil Leke Dekho in 2005, and walked the ramp at the Lakme Fashion Week 2008 and then again in Lakme Fashion Week 2009.

She made her acting debut in the 2010 film Dabangg, in which she starred opposite Salman Khan. The film went on to become the highest grossing film of 2010, and ultimately emerged as an all-time blockbuster. Sinha had to lose 30kg in preparation for the role as a village girl. Sinha had four releases in 2012, her first being Prabhu Deva's Rowdy Rathore, opposite Akshay Kumar. The film opened to mixed reviews from critics, although had a strong opening at the box office, collecting approx. 150.6 million (US$2.3 million) on the first day and eventually becoming a blockbuster. Her next film, Shirish Kunder's Joker, also opposite Akshay Kumar proved to be unsuccessful at the box office, and received overwhelmingly negative reviews. Her last two films, Ashwni Dhir's Son of Sardar alongside Ajay Devgan, and Arbaaz Khan's Dabangg 2, the sequel to her immensely successful debut, were both successful at the box office, despite receiving mixed reviews. In other parts of the world its outlawed. Like other fads, this phenomenon will disappear in time. just ignore and move on.

Of course the trend started with Hollywood actresses such as Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchett, Julianne Moore and Gwyneth Paltrow, whose porcelain skin reflects their A-list status on the red carpet. Put simply, paleness equals class. And it’s sexy. According to a recent report from the University of Toronto, men are more attracted to fairer-skinned women in all races, as they appear innocent and pure. Just think of the quivering milk-white bosoms of Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman in The Other Boleyn Girl – the effect would be totally ruined by a tan.

At some time we had those that are dusky fair, and crazed for fairer skin used whatever possible means, and in some cases where the movie director needs an alabaster skin, they would have had the different camera lens to capture that required shot.
