A 15-year-old boy is dead after he was shot multiple times Sunday night.

Andrew Naidoo was rushed into surgery at Sunnybrook Hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

Police and EMS responded to a 911 call from inside an apartment building near Martin Grove Rd. and Finch Ave. W. around 11:30 p.m.

The shooting took place outside, police said. The victim was shot in the upper body.

There is no word on any suspects but police have said that there was a short foot chase.

Police believe there were eye witnesses and are asking people with any information to come forward

This is Toronto’s 23rd homicide of the year and 13th fatal shooting. There were six fatal shootings by this time last year.
