Brought this thread back to proudly announce that my daughter has been accepted at FIU in their undergraduate program in Chemistry. Because of her strong academic achievements, she was automatically admitted into their Honors College and given a full scholarship including, among other frills, free parking. I told her that all she has to pay is attention.

Congrats to the young lady.  Ksazma - does that take you closer to retirement?  My eldest is 15 and I told her if she gets that scholarship in a few years,  I am retiring..

I am not as smart as you Leena. I prepaid for the kids college but made the mistake of telling them that if they get scholarships, they get to keep the funds.

Thanks Mira. She will be at the main campus. She already has some college vredits from her dual enrollment. The boy is doing very well also.
