If you were to walk into a thrift shop and notice the painting below---would you want to buy it ?---and if you were to buy it---how much would you pay for it ?

THIS MAN IS STEVEN COHEN
Steve Cohen looks like a New York City cab driver but he is actually a hedge fund manager---he runs SAC Capital Advisors---Steve Cohen is worth $9 billion dollars.
SACâs Steve Cohen Buys $155 Million Picasso âLe Reveâ From Steve Wynn

QUESTION:
You now know how much that Picasso painting was bought for by Billionaire Steve Cohen---$155 million---but how much would you have paid for it if you had seen it in a thrift shop ?
Rev
probably 10 bucks
That's a beautiful piece. $5. $15 the most.
probably 10 bucks
ha ha ha ha ha
At least you're willing to pay something for it---$10 bucks---most people would pass.
CHECK OUT THAT BOWL:
It was in the news recently---it was bought at a garage sale in New York for $3 dollars in 2007----and was sold recently at an auction for $2 million.
The bowl was described as a 'rare and important' 1,000-year-old bowl from Northern Song Dynasty in China.
BOTTOM LINE:
One man's junk is another man's treasure.
Rev
Sorry Rev, did not noticed your post
It's a very suggestive piece but I wouldn't spend that kinda money on it.

Riya:
* Steve Cohen's net worth is 9 billion dollars.
* 155 million is just a drop in the bucket to him---it's only 1.72% of his net worth.
* And keep in mind---if the stock market were to drop 10%---Cohen's net worth would likely drop near a billion dollars
* So that is how Cohen justifies his decision to pay 155 million for a painting amral would only pay 10 bucks for---rather than wait for the market to take away what it has given him---Cohen goes on what many normal folks would perceive as an insane spending spree.
* By the way---write down your net worth---keep it a secret---don't tell anyone---now what is 1.7% of your net worth ?----1.7% of Steve Cohen's net worth is 155 million.hahaha

Rev, by all accounts I'm a pauper. A not working millionaire if I may
my expensive taste does not extend to the art world, only to shoes

Riya:
You may not realize it but you are already a rich woman.
Answer this:
* Does billionaire Steve Cohen have more love in his heart than you have in your heart ?
* Does billionaire Steve Cohen love his children more than you love your children ?
* Does billionaire Steve Cohen enjoy a better night's rest than you do ?
* Is billionaire Steve Cohen healthier than you are ?
* Is billionaire Steve Cohen's bedroom more serene and adventurous than yours ?
* Does billionaire Steve Cohen enjoy a plate of dhall and rice and okra with saltfish more than you do ?
The Rev can go on and on---but you see Riya---if you count the things you have that money cannot buy---love, happiness, health, honesty, inner beauty, great attitude, wonderful disposition---you are already a rich woman---maybe richer than billionaire Steve Cohen.lol
RE: SHOES
ONE MORE THING:
* Does billionaire Steve Cohen get more joy and satisfaction from his 155 million Picasso painting than you get from your $945 dollar Chriatian Louboutin pair of shoes?hahaha
CONCLUSION:
You are a rich woman Riya.
Rev
I love it the answer to all the questions is a resounding no!
I'm way richer than he will ever be I recently bought a pair of vince camuto shoes and I know I was way ecstatic than Steve Cohen was when he bought that painting
