This is not fair. Ticket sellers are excluded from this quiz.

Yes, those are the current ticket prices at the recently opened Giftland Multiplex. For 3D movies, patrons pay $200 extra.

The last time I attended a cinema show in Georgetown, I paid $3 if I remember well.

Congrats!!

St. Joseph's Hospital

70th anniversary

That should be: St Joseph Mercy Hospital, aka Mercy Hospital Georgetown. In the 1950s my grandmother used to call it Romiti Hospital, as it was founded mainly by an Italian surgeon Dr Caesare Romiti.

Congrats!!

Enjoy your weekend, everyone.

No.

okay (5) HDH

Correct.

In 1989 President Hugh Desmond Hoyte attended the Commonwealth Summit in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He offered the Commonwealth one million acres of Guyana's rain forest for conservation. The Commonwealth accepted President Hoyte's offer and started organizing the Iwokrama project with the cooperation of the Guyana government. So, essentially, Iwokrama is run by the Commonwealth through the Iwokrama International Centre for Rain Forest Conservation and Development.

Congrats!!

Bingo!!

@Riya & Anjali:The Glentanner arrived in Demerara on 12 January 1853. The Lord Elgin arrived 5 days later.

Amoy was the port where the ships departed from. Canton was the city where the contracted labourers lived.

Congrats, Django!

Anjali gets second prize, meaning that she has been appointed specialist pulouree teacher.

Django gets third prize, meaning that he has been appointed chief bartan washer after the pulourees are cooked and eaten.

Riya gets consolation prize, meaning she can just sit and relax.

That's all for today.
