Karanvir Sharma plays a crime reporter Rohan who gets to stay with a girl in an outhouse during an assignment. The girl is Maya (Mannara). There’s an instant attraction between the two.

Rohan, on the other hand, is not serious about Maya. He’s just having a fling with her and thinks “she’ll understand”.

Maya’s world comes crashing down when she catches Rohan making it out with another girl (Shraddha Das). She’s shattered, but so obsessed about Rohan that she can’t leave him. What happens next?

Zid is being described as an erotic thriller by its makers.

The new poster of producer Anubhav Sinha’s film Zid has the debutante Mannara posing topless among hanging knives.

Mannara is none other than Priyanka Chopra’s cousin Barbie Handa. She has now dumped her old name Barbie, because it sounds too childish and has adopted a more hip name Mannara, which in Greek means something that shines.

With Zid, Mannara hopes to shine. She is already being touted by producer Sinha as “the newest firebrand on the block”.

In the poster, Mannara poses topless underneath sharp knives. The girl discussed the bold shoot with cousin Priyanka Chopra before doing it. The Bollywood star told her to go for it, but make sure it’s done aesthetically.

Mannara admits being Priyanka Chopra’s cousin has helped her but at the same time reveals that she had to go through several rounds of audition before she bagged Zid.

The movie is directed by Vivek Agnihotri and also stars Karanvir Sharma. The film hits theatres on November 28.
