What Mark needs to focus on is ideas to ensure that G/twn has a stable revenue source, because there must be serious dredging and maintenance of the city's drainage and irrigation systems.  In addition he must put in place proper garbage collection and enforceable regulations against littering.

The city does need a source of income.  The idea that I had of building several small scale hydro projects together with small scale wind, solar and wave generation systems in different cities and towns in Guyana could be an income generator. If the government builds these and split the profit generated with the sale of electricity at a low cost with the cities and towns then it could benefit both.

Like I said all sorts of people who arent Guyanese read GNI.  Its very popular among those who have an interest in Guyana, and especially those who wish to malign us as a people.

I cant think about the times when I googled a serious topic on Guyana and up came GNI with talk about goadie, and pedo, and cuffies.  If I can find that, so can others, and in fact GNI has been referenced in many places and is often seen as an indicator of how North American based Guyanese think.
