Thanks Kaz. Kaieteur is not big in volume of water as some other falls such as Niagara or Queen Victoria Falls. It varies in volume depending on the amount of rainfall and is usually more robust during periods of heavy rain. When I was there, the tour guide explained that it didn't rain much in the last two weeks and hence the river was very low. The woman who committed suicide there was at the bottom of the falls when I was there but I didn't see her. They had not yet discovered her body.

Are there pathways that takes you to the bottom as in the case with Niagara or the Grand Canyons or is the tour only to the top? How is accommodation?

Dry season pics. Did several reconnaissance missions in the rainy season and saw the falls in all it's glory. Orinduk too - somehow these fall don't get enough credit or visibility. Absolutely beautiful but on all occasions too cold to swim.

Why we still cannot get KNP accredited as a UNESCO World Heritage site is beyond me.

The tours are limited to the top. There may be pathways to the bottom but i don't know of them. Probably used by the military when they went in to remove the woman's body. There is a small guest house if you want to overnight but it looks like a one star deal. I saw it from the outside and it looks like it has the bare minimum.
