Nothing instead they prefer to take money and pay for concerts like Ne-Yo so that Kamini can go and skin up her cat.

MORE NIGHTMARE FOR THE OPPOSITION AFC/APNU

Today, Guyana’s image as a country, locally and internationally, has never been more positive. For
example, Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves, St. Vincent and the Grenadines has singled out Guyana
as a “bright growth prospect” during the last Heads of Government meeting in St. Kitts. Sir Shridath
Ramphal, the Former Secretary General of the Commonwealth and the former Foreign Affairs Minister
of the PNC Government hailed the work of the PPP/C Government for a prominent and positive
image of the country on the international scene. He said “the work that has been done by the PPP/C
Government and the President on environmental issues is really quite phenomenal and the success of
the LCDS is a very substantial contribution to world development”. He said Guyana has a “bright future”.
Sir Ron Saunders, May 27, 2011 proclaimed that today, Guyana’s economy is one of the strongest in the
Caribbean and the country is now one of the fastest growing economies in CARICOM since 2006.

The IMF has consistently praised Guyana. In 2009, the IMF commended Guyana on maintaining macro-
economic stability, despite external shocks and social pressure. The Institution commended Government
for implementing several policy initiatives that saw the economy maintaining macroeconomic stability,
achieving real growth rates and containing inflation, in spite of global turmoil. In 2010, the IMF stated
that compared to many countries in the Caribbean Region, Guyana has been quite successful in
maintaining steady economic growth, owing to its high economic productivity, particularly in new and
emerging sectors. Program Coordinator of IMF, Ms. Therese Turner-Jones, explained that Guyana is a
bright light as the country has a diverse economy that is productive. In 2011, the IMF again commended
Guyana for maintaining macro-economic stability in an unfavorable global environment and for
achieving economic growth for six consecutive years.

This has been a remarkable transformation for our country. We restored Guyana’s dignity and we did
so while guaranteeing liberty and democracy. The PPP/C is proud of the leadership role we have played
in uniting our people and in charting a path that has poised Guyana to move up the ranks of developing
countries towards high middle income country status during this decade. Through the work of our
Presidents like Cheddi and Janet Jagan, Sam Hinds and Bharrat Jagdeo, we have made Guyana GOOD.

Now we want Guyana to be BETTER.

Voting is an important franchise that people in democratic societies tend to eventually take for granted. If you decide to disenfranchise yourself from the process it is to your own disadvantage. A democratic society offers it's people the right to choose the leadership. This is why that society has to inform itself, and be wary of disinformation campaigns. This right is why the PPP has fought very hard to ensure that Guyanese can exercise their franchise and civic duty.

When teachers arrived at the school on Friday, a number of rooms, including the senior masters’ room, were flooded. Several floors were waterlogged, while texts books and records wereâ€Ķ..

Well said, baseman. This elections campaign is bringing out the meanest, most malicious traits in people. But, as I always say, there's a life after politics and people are inherently good.
