Moses embarrassed the AFC and the honorable house by defending NICIL's corruptions, advising corruption and earn money from corruption. This article which was carried in the Chronicle is another attempt to smear the good name of a patriotic Guyanese who is on the forefront of the fight against corruption and racism in Guyana. Shame on the Chronicle which is state owned and supposed to be a medium to inform the public without any political bias. The Chronicle has violated a sacred code of journalism by entering into political character assasination. Shame on those on GNI who are echoing the Chronicle's lies and attempts at character assasination.....

Moses was retained to prepare the legal papers to transfer land which was needed to facilitate the building of the Berbice river bridge. Moses negiotated fair arrangements with the owners of the land needed ( mostly farmers ) who were satisfied  with his professional services. His contract was only to prepare the legal documents and it was up to the ministry of housing to execute the documents. The ministry of housing under Jagdeo's crony Irfan Ally did not do what they were supposed to do and lied to the  people that Moses was responsible for the unexplained delays. In the mean time another Jagdeo/Ramoutar crony, Ossie Rodgers who was anxious to secure a position with NCN went to Rosignol and encouraged several folks to lie about Moses. This Rodgers previouslly worked with NCN and had fallen out with the cabal. In order to regain his old position he willingly became part of the effort to set Moses up.

This futile effort to smear Moses comes in the wake of the growing popularity of this son of the soil.... Their efforts will fail as the people who were helped by Moses will speak out. The radar is on NICIL for corruption.

Nagamootoo is shooting himself in the foot, he's self destructing himself, the lies he utters constantly will inevitably lead to his self destruction. Its unbecoming of a politician to stand up in the National Assembly and not only lie to the Parliament but the the entire Guyanese Populace as well...that was a disgraceful act, one which at least warrant a public apology!!!

The truth has a sense of revealing itself, it was only time before Nagamootoo's lies caught up with him....there's a famous Guyanese saying "Moon a run, till Day caught em".....Nagamootoo's lies has finally caught up with him

But despite his criticisms he hid from the public the fact that he did and was doing business with that very entity as recent as 2011.
Isn't it hypocritical and unethical for Nagamootoo to be receiving large sums of money from the very entity he accuses of being corrupt?

Mr Consciousness, whom I told is a Minister of the Government of Guyana, presented evidence of cheques paid to Mr. Moses V. Nagamootoo Esq, MP.

SO what?  Isn’t Moses like any other attorney entitled to legal fees for legal services rendered?

Does he not realize Cde Nagamootoo is a lawyer authorized by the laws of Guyana to charge a legal fee for his services?  If the Government of Guyana or NICIL was unhappy with his rates, they could have easily walked up the road to a pro-PPP Legal Houses at the time and ask for “dharma shala” fees.  This Jagdeo / Ramotar cabal does not respect professional at all.

But this same PPP Government is on record of paying other lawyers especially that Senior Counsel from Trinidad reportedly some US$20,000 (G$4 million) per visit on a case for the State and then they paid members of the Linden Commission some $567,000 per day plus hotel and expenses.

Let us not forget these fat cats who earned million off of the taxpayers sweat:

• Office of the President Advisor Kevin Hogan ($13 million for 2012);
• Office of the President Advisor Steven Grin ($15 million for 2012);
• Kapil Mohabir ($12 million for 2012);
• Legal fees of $600,000 to Jaya Manickchand for 2012;
• Presidential Advisor Gail Teixeira, $11.6 million for 2012;
• Cheddi Jagan Junior, the Attorney-at-Law earns from Office of the President $6 million for 2012;
• Head of the Presidential Secretariat Dr. Roger Luncheon, is listed as being paid by Office of the President, a salary of $10.8 million for 2012;
• Hydar Ally is paid $6.7 million for 2012;
• the son of Former Attorney General, Charles Ramson, $5.2 million as a legal clerk.

So this attack on Moses Nagamootoo is a red hearing because it is clear in their mind that the people’s support for his as the PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE OF THE AFC IS growing and they are losing support.

This is the evil Jagdeo / Ramotar cabal at work  - feed some and starve the rest including Moses.

Moses admitted to receiving payments for professional services rendered....there is no dispute about that as his services were transparent....it was the ministry of housing which did not follow through with what they were supposed to do....the cabal aksed Moses to do the legal work because they did not have a capable attorney within the OP to handle the cases.....we must remember that folks were being relocated from properties which were in their families for many decades and Moses was the only person thay would listen to....when questions arose about corruption within NICIL the legal work was already completed and payments were late forth coming.....

Why did the ministry of housing delay the legal papers which were prepared by Moses ? They saw an opportunity to frustrate the people involved to score political points against Moses...

The word on the ground is that the people were not fooled and Moses' popularity has risen.....
