NINETEEN-year-old Meenawattie Sampaul denied that she used a series of expletives to a pensioner as they exited the precincts of the New Amsterdam Magistrate’s Court last Friday.

The sales girl of Edinburgh  Village, East Bank Berbice, who was placed on $10,000 bail, is alleged to have used abusive language to Heri Khali after the elderly woman had enquired from her who she was referring to as “an old witch”.

Sampaul is the virtual complainant in a criminal case currently being heard before Magistrate Rhondel Weaver at the New Amsterdam court while Khali’s grandson is the defendant in that matter.
The case has been fixed for hearing on September 13.
