with a one pc, the tank is already attached to bowl. There is a less chance of any leakage between tank and bowl since it is all one continuous material. They are more expensive than the traditional 2pc. Easier to clean and looks very nice and slick.
Disadvantage, I have yet to see one that is Right Height, meaning for older persons, rising from a low toilet can be very hard.
With a 2pc toilet you can buy one that is higher, so an older person will find it easier to rise up. Not so with the 1pc.
Also if something goes wrong inside the tank of the 1pc, it can be tricky to get the correct parts to fix it. You may end up having to replace the entire toilet. I find the 1pc too big and clumsy to install, also bigger risk of damage in the box when shipping to the store. We have many of them arrived chipped at the edges.
Personally I am not a big fan of the 1pc.
you see Amral know his shit

Ball in action, hehehe.
I prefer the older style, two piece. I also don't care for the fancy 2 piece flush, wastes money, most time gotta flush twice are some complaints I hear.
Is like Iman know some shit too.
The 1 piece is too heavy and clumsy to lift and install. The 2 piece now come with a 16" height which is excellent and comfortable for old folks.
For DIYers, the 2 piece is the way to go; easier to handle and install. Because of the difference with new height, you may need to replace the connecting hose.
Mits also the crown jewels sit better on a 2pc lol
see he really know his toilets, since he talk about crown jewels on the porcelain throne,,
If the toilet is sitting below the (sink) countertop then that limits the overall height of the replacement toilet. I have no problem with a one piece toilet - I have one at home and one that I put in my daughter's house. Get a good brand name like Toto and you won't have any problems.
