In YOUR perception Freddie is a greater information resource because he writes what YOU want to hear.  I would not label the content as common belief in the PPP and among Indians.

 He writes the truth.

In your sick mind.  Now why don't you go join him on the picket lines!

An avowed racist calling me sick! The PPP is corrupt. Freddie does not have to tell me that. It is self evident. Let me know what he lies about and I will show you that one does not need his reporting to express what would have already known.

This is my picket line.

What she  wrote was despicable. I do not know if she was ghost writing for someone or was directed to write the piece but that is not the point. She stated what you as an Indian would know is a pervasive belief. That it apparently has been allowed on a major news outlet and in the editorial column  gives it legitimacy. Further, it is a government controlled media outlet and one given to partisan presentations. This makes it an odium. I do not know the lady but obviously the PPP decided to scape goat her for a mistake her editors should have caught.

Storm, I understand what you are saying and you are right.  But Storm for some of these people here to jump to the conclusion that Parvati is a racist simply does not take into account the woman's complete life.  This woman was a very close associate of Dr Rodney and others in the WPA who gave their lives in the struggle.  She put her own life on the line many times in the struggle.

FM

On FaceBook, this woman has doubled down and "will not take back one word" of the filth she has written . . .; viciously [since she knows better] propagating the PPP LIE of a PNC/AFC/APNU "divide-and-rule strategy" claiming "victims."

and spare me the crap about this or that person who was "associated" with Walter Rodney, and therefore is innoculated from the charge of racism/tribalism. Some of the nastiest, most rabid racists right here on GNI claim to have "struggled" with Rodney.

Up till now, I gave Ms Persaud-Edwards the benefit of the doubt . . . no more!

Please, shed no tears for her . . . her reward(s) compliments of the tribalist cabal in Freedom House will be fulsome.
