Passenger forced to stand for 7 hrs because of fat man

A passenger had to stand during a seven-hour flight after a morbidly obese man sitting next to him made it impossible to get into his seat.
Arthur Berkowitz said his 400lb neighbour on US Airways Flight 901 from Anchorage to Philadelphia spilled over into his personal space.

He was not able to sit in his seat, could not move elsewhere in the aircraft because it was full and was therefore forced to stand up.

They have jump seats that he could've sat on while the attendants served etc. No need to stand.

If I were him I would wait till fat man want to go bathroom then occupy it. That would be justice.

While that guy is indeed big, it doesn't look like he was in the other guy's space. People nowadays make a big deal over everything. Perhaps the other guy is intolerant. Or maybe he sees this as an opportunity to get rich off the airline.

I thought people who were a certain size had to buy two seats. And why should he have had to stand so the fat man could sit in comfort? A Flight attendant should have given up their seat and during flight. This makes no sense.
