Passing of Bro Aftab

Bro Aftab passed away this morning at 7.15 am. He was originally from New Amsterdam and has been in NY serving the muslim community sine the late 70's.
Aftaab was only 52 years and he died from cancer, his wife also died from cancer just a few months back.

Janaza is set tentativly for 2pm today at Masjid Al Abidin, 127st and Liberty Ave.

Sad to know that both husband and wife should pass away with cancer and still at a relatively young age.

I know him from more than 30 years ago. He lived in Kent street New Amsterdam. We all attended Stanleytown Masjid as kids. One of his younger brother and I were in the same class.
