Just heard that a dear former colleague of mine at the Treasury Department in Guyana, Eddie Layne passed away in NY a few days ago. He was the former Deputy Accountant General and hailed from Leguan. He had been ailinr some time. RIP old buddy.

Sorry to hear. Edward Layne was accountant general at Min.of Finance.

Thanks for the correction, Sunil. I am pleased to know that he was promoted to Accountant General before he retired. Eddie was also one of highest ranking Amerindian Guyanese of his day.
