all you need is 17 floats cost covered

I was informed that it seems that extra funds are necessary for deposit for the usage of the Park.

Funds are needed for the cleanup of the park after the event.

Funds are needed for the Stage and sound system

What extra funds  according to the Gofundme site they need around $26000.00 An they usually gets more than 17 floats so that should more than cover it.

In recent years there has been increased costs to conduct the Parade plus the cultural show at Smokey Oval (Phil Rizzuto Park). This cost includes the use of the Park itself, cleaning & removal of all garbage from the park plus power washing of the playground hard surfaces, 25 State Certified Security Personnel as required by the NY City Parks & Recreation Dept, adequate supply of sanitary toilets, insurance, rental of equipment to conduct the cultural show, incl a mobile state, chairs, tents & generators etc.  

We take pride in being able to provide this annual event for the community at large. The above expenses amount to just around $26,000.

I don't know the details to all this, but are you accusing, or just ranting?

You come across as a reasonable and decent guy, and seemingly a good Muslim, why you go on these rants!

I have said this before the GNIers that come and post about the Phagwah Parade  are not doing anything to assist other than running thier mouth.

Herman Singh has been in this Phagwah Day Parade Committe from Day 1 and is  ahard worker. He has put his name out thier on a Public site asking for money .

This is misleading Vish. How much did the RHEDC gave to this parade. Paying for a float to advertise your business is not funding the parade.

I didn't contribute nor do I intend to contribute. I don't care who contribute or not. My question is why you are upset that Chief posted Herman's request on GNI. You and Herman don't seem to be on the same page regarding the needed funds for this parade. Couple that with several of my earlier comments about how community organizations' representatives have a tendency to rip off the general public ala the cancelled duck curry competition and you would have a clear understanding why I even commented on this in the first place.

This Parade was not held last year because of infighting. Now the two sides has come to an agreement and people like Herman Singh is putting their name out there asking for contributions. 

In the meantime people like Vishnu who has absolutly nothing to do with the Pardse comes on GNI and runs hismouth and people like Nehru shouting Jai Mata Ji to Vishu lies.

RHEDC is not funding the Phagwah Day Parade and they never did.

RHEDC is hosting the Last Float in partnership with Airline, Bank, NYS and NYC agencies.

Why our Pagwah parade have to be dragged in to the mud with money issues? If the Federation of Hindu Mandirs had asked for donation from Hindus and devotees of all Mandirs, they would have received more than what was required. They are also big donors in our community that can help. We should never allowed non-Hindus to meddle in our affairs and insult us about money.
