I visited the Rockaways this morning for the first time and trust me it is more than what we are seeing on TV. In my opinion God has spoken and none of us are listening, the water just rose and moved everything in it's way including the boardwalk. Houses and businesses are totally destroyed and folks who still remain there are thankful for what help they can get.

There are many many religious an...
d other organizations that are out there assisting but from what I have seen hot food and blankets are badly needed.

Offer a prayer for the suffering people and please contribute in any form or manner to the big organizations that do disaster relief, Redcross and ICNA COME TO MIND RIGHT NOW.
Finally offer a prayer that you are not affected by this disaster.

I was made to understand that a group with Pandit Dhanpal went there today and they took dholl, rice and aloo curry please tell these people that the American will prefer noodles and peas & rice instead. I heard the recipients were dumping the food outside the community center.

That's very ungrateful of them. If they didn't want it they could've at least be more discreet of disposing of it.
