Greenidge was a late comer he was actually responsible for the ERP which Jagan left in place and eventually was responsible for turning the economy around.
The buck stops at Jagan and Burnham these 2 ****ers are the ones responsible.

Burnham didn't Rob Jagan of anything.
Jagan's embraced of communism was a major mistake he made he needs to own that and the PPP needs to own that.
Communism was a mistake and that was Jagan's mistake he lost his opportunity.

Greenidge was there for 10 of the PNC 28 years and the most tumultuous part of it. That is much more than just a latecomer's status. Plus the ERP was the instrument of the IMF and World Bank. Hoyte, Greenidge and the PNC's credit came in not opposing it which they really couldn't given the economic condition of Guyana.

I was thinking of the rigged elections.
Sure Jagan was a communist but history was kind to him denying him the blame that Burnham now holds since he actually implemented it. And he was quite pompous of it also.

Look it is my opinion that Greenidge was there as finance minister at the latter part of the 28 years.
The finance minister before him was HDH and ultimately the man driving much of the fiscal and economic affairs was Forbes and HDH.
Ask Rashleigh Jackson, Ramphal etc they will all confirm what I am saying.
My 2 cents you don't have to agree with what I am saying here but convince me otherwise with real data.

No problem. You have the benefit of my doubt.

Yes the PPP endorsed Burnham nationalizing the economy. They supported the communist tactics which destroyed Cuba. So had the PPP been in power, and not the PNC< Guyana would have also been a mess.
.ksazma
So now the PPP was responsible for the PNC bankrupting the Guyanese economy between 1983 & 1992?
